To get yhe slow cooker out again. The weather is fading away and the nights drawing in.. so time to start cooking that comfort food again.

What your best slow cooker meal..

I love a good stew and dumplings.

Frijoles Negros Cuban style

We use our slow cooker year round. Grew up in a place with hot summers and we especially used it then as we try to turn the oven on as little as possible. Don’t want to add to the heat.

I use it all year round. Probably 3/4 out of 7 meals go in it.

Chilli, curry, pulled pork, lasagne, Bolognaise, meat joints.

I tend to use mine less in summer.. I'm more salad and bbq. Did a lush rolled pork joint stuffed with sausage and Black pudding.. cooked for 3 hours over a low bbq heat.. was lush.

Yeah that’s all I do. Gives a bbq taste. Or can of Fanta for a more sweet and sour taste

Bham

Yeah I use mine in the winter more.

I think I only used it this summer for some pulled pork as I couldn't be bothered firing up the smoker.

Best winter meal in it would probably just be a stew. With thickly cut bread and lashings of Irish butter.

Yes, it can be. Main reason for it is partner and her daughter find it better than in a stew (because they decided to watch me butcher some once)
