As cliché as it sounds, yes, in general people are cuntish towards others to distract or feel better about their own anguish and pain.
I think that's a very generous analysis! Some aren't in pain in the first place or at least not in relative terms or they may create their own pain. See what they think is a week spot on another user or group and then pounce, as if it's actually gonna get a person some sexy times by openly looking like a cunt....? More likely to end up a cunt magnet, and not the the good kind either....
Yes, it is generous, and did say speaking in general terms. I do get that some people are just cunts, and may try make others look foolish or belittle them, thinking they will come off looking great. I find it hard to just lable a cunt as a cunt end of sort of thing. If someone wants to play tactics as some do, then I am sure many will see through it. I just always see good in people, naive, maybe. But I'd rather that than be cold and guarded to all.
My take:
Person A likes bunnies
Person B hates bunnies
In RL these two people would probably never meet. On a web forum they will meet and have their views, world outlook, humour challenged. One, or both, may try to say that the other view is not right or invalid. Conflict ensues.
Fab forum is just a microcosm of RL with everyone trying to jostle for space and carve out a niche for themselves. Conflict may ensue as competing viewpoints compete for space. Not much different to RL really.
Or ppl could use their eyes and ears and they could engage and grow their mind to learn something from and about others whilst remaining respectful and aware of themselves and the consequences of their actions (as opposed to forcing opinions and "knowledge" on others and bad-mouthing folk to make themselves appear better).... Just my take....
