Scared of sex .

I asked if ok to mail here as maybe some may have had this at sometime in there life. She has been on her own now 4 years from a bad relationship and had stoped dating as terrified of having sex ..... she got together with a man a tried and was too nervous and could not do it .. and he end up calling her frigid she is scared of rejection and dont wish to date but would like things back to normal in her sex life .... Its a hard one ........ i said maybe look into sex counseling i am sure thats on offer .. ?? And maybe date go back to basics maybe ... start will just holding hands and a kiss ? Do you tell people if like this or say nothing ?

Some guys are idiots! (Ok... Most!). Calling a woman frigid when she is already scared/worried about sex is only going to make things worse.

Sounds like she needs some counselling (I'm sure some blokes will say "send her to me for a jolly good rogering") but professional help would be the best way to help her.

Or alternatively, organise a meet for her with a single guy you can trust. One who will genuinely treat her gently and reassure that sex is only if she feels comfortable.

Personally it sounds like a man is the last thing she needs!!! She should concentrate on finding who she is again before she should try to show people what she is. Definitely counselling should be a route for her, tell her to stay strong and wish her the best of luck with her journey!!!

She could also have a medical problem if she has never had sex before - a friend of mine had a friend whose 'area' was sealed and needed an operation to open it up. After she had healed there was no looking back and now my friend is very happy, as is his friend

I'm not sure what the condition is called but it might be worth finding out and speaking to a doctor (a female one mught be better if she embarrasses easily)

I hope she finds a solution - I'd be gutted if I couldn't enjoy carnal pleasures

Professional help is the way forward, like fanny said a fella is probably the last thing she needs right now.....all the best going forward tho....im sure with some understanding help she will over come it x
