Roller disco with fun loving divorcee

Before covid I took a fun loving divorcee to a roller disco, it was my idea, I wanted to show her my prowess on eight wheels, but also because it was an excuse to wear my luminous knee high socks and denim shorts, indeed she was duly impressed with my moves which she described as ‘Seemingly effortless for a middle age man well passed his prime’ I gently helped her build up enough courage for her to be guided around the rink, the chemistry was undeniable. All was going well till we bumped into her ex husband (what are the chances) and what with the combination of the music and the lights, it seemed to capture a lost love they once had, they both went off together looking into each other’s eyes, I was left stood there like a brightly lit gooseberry, the flashing lights in my roller boot wheels making my ‘Choose life’ crop top stand out in the gloom of my mood, I should have swallowed my pride and left straight away, but I’d paid a tenner to get us both in, so I stayed and made the most of my allotted time slot alone, I’d pass the now besotted couple with every circuit and give them a knowing, awkward nod. I cannot and will not give up on meeting the woman of my dreams (after covid) on Fab someday, it’s the romantic in me, onwards and upwards. Never give up on your dreams. Peace
