...what do you provide in the way of food and drink?...buffet food and help yourself drinks or sitdown meal and served drinks or perhaps a takeaway?

How do you like to entertain?

for us when entertaining its snacks, cheesy bites, peanuts and drinks. we ask them who are coming what they like to drink but we find most people bring a bottle of their favourite anyway

They never bothered about food

After saying that we have been known to have coffee and toast on the patio late at night

If we invite a couple then we offer a few nibbles too as i think its more sociable .....food or not we always have a good time

Lol...it may appear that way but my meets are local, the longest driving time 30 minutes. If it's an all nighter I'll feed em.

We don't really offer food when we entertain at ours.

Will always ask what people like to drink but that's about it.

You might get a slice of cake or a couple of biscuits with tea/coffee afterwards...but that's only if your lucky

If someone is staying over a make a chilli, its the only thing i can cook. No seriously i make sure they like chilli but i get it already and just warm it up no messing about when they are here

I have never fed a meet really other than drinks to keep us going but then it's usually a daytime thing and food isn't needed x I guess I would if it was an overnight but with kids at home that doesn't happen to often x

As a single and couple we have done the meal, wine etc and its often leads to a nice friendship.

Not all people want this i guess and we all meet differently.

I'm a shite cook so if I've got overnight visitors I make sure there's a pizza or two in the fridge along with a coupla bottles of plonk.....tho' I like Diamonds idea of a chilli - my spesh is spag bol so if I could be arsed, that would be on offer

a Primark shoebox in Leicester

It very much depends on the type of meet it is and the type of person/people I am meeting. So it might be anything from sweet feck all to a full cooked meal including cocktails.

Takeaways are good because you can ask them to pick it up on the way and there's no washing up

We went to an amazing party last night six couples they provided a nice buffet and champagne- at the end of the night the host cooked us pizza and chicken wings ....that's a party !!

Not to mention all the other stuff

Sit them on the couch

Tell some jokes

Do some juggling

Do some mime

Jingle my bells

And then a slow strip out of the outfit

I find they don't have much of an appetite after that !
