I once picked up a lady from here for our first meet - however, she had eaten a load of Garlick Bread just before I met her.... !!! - how bad is that...

I can cope with garlic (temporarily unpleasant). WHat's 100 times worse though is that "not having been to dentist/ hygienist twice a year" for the past 10 years odour. For me bad/ missing teeth, bad breath are a complete turn off...

Nope it isnt for me but (and I know its a different topic altogether!) while I have really not met many timeswasters... I have met one or two with bad teeth and/ or poor dental hygiene. It does not just put me off kissing, it puts me off altogether...

I am always immaculate with my personal hygene and make sure I smell, as well as taste good before I meet - it was soo bad mannered I thought and ruined the meet for me, which was a shame..

i dont actually cause i love garlic and the smell dont bother me at all

The only thing that would bother me is BO, bad breath due to poor oral hygiene, something like what food they had eaten or after shave not to my taste would make me think so badly about them i felt the need to post a thread like that

Before a planned meet or club visit we are very careful what we eat in the preceeding 24hours, no garlic, onions, eggs, "windy veg" or curries tec. That being said we arealso very particular with dental hygiene etc too. Spontaneous meets or short notice are trickier to prepare for although feminine wipes and mouthwash always in the handbag just in case

There was a thread on here quite recently discussing what people 'eat' before a meet, and I think generally most people where thoughtful enough to avoid anything that would be unpleasant for their meet.
