My experience thus far has been those that throw the term around have been the ones who use that term to cover up shitty manipulative behaviour. It's been a diversion to absolve themselves of responsibility of causing hurt or harm.

On that note, I'm really fucking glad I'm not a "true/real swinger"

My experience of being a swinger:

Was in a couple, we played and swapped with other couples and sometimes had singles join us

As a single:

I join in with couples, I meet singles but only in swinger clubs and usually play publically.

This is how I do it, others can do it however they choose

Swinging , to me, HAS to involve more than one person, cos wanking and crying into your coffee doesn't count. Therefore it's not about the sexual acts.

It can't be just two people either cos otherwise the vicar and his wife have been at it for years.

I don't even think doggers can claim to be swingers but I do think that swingers can claim to be doggers. .....

Hmmmmmm I guess in the end...... no matter what your social grouping or no matter what your sexual preferences, swinging is simply SEX uncomplicated by commitment or jealousy.

It's like........ yeah your boyfriend can cook your curry tonight but if you want it cooked by your friend from work next week then that causes no problems...... sex is part of life and we all own our own body.

"Anything outside the definition of a monogamous relationship? "

As long as both partners are aware if you are part of a couple.

Otherwise surely it is cheating?

If one partner is playing alone, then if their life partner knows and it is fine then all is cool.

If a partner is playing without the knowledge of his life partner, then surely that is cheating.

You're not a true swinger unless you've shagged someone's wife and he gave you a high five and a slice of cake after.

As newbies, this is exactly what we’re hoping to experience, socialising with like minded friends that add a bit extra to our marriage. so fingers crossed for our swinging journey.

Rather generous of him to give you a piece of cake, hopefully washed down with a cup of tea as sex can make you rather thirsty

You engage in outdoor woodland swinging? .. Are you not concerned about other dog walkers reporting you? As is it true you can be prosecuted for indecent exposure if a member of public files a report?

"My friends and I discussed what constitutes true 'swinging' . What's your thoughts/opinions/ideas about swinging? "

It's a very broad term that involves sexual experiences with somebody other than your own partner, consented to be all relevant parties.

There are some things which definitely are swinging, such as two couples swapping partners. There are other things which some people might choose to identify as swinging and others won't, such as having multiple sexual partners.

It's a very broad term and I don't think you will get a precise definition everybody will agree on. Some people will idintify as swingers and some won't even though they do the same things.

It’s so difficult and will upset most as some on here are not swingers whatsoever. Just people trying their luck to get laid.

The closest to traditional definition is a couple who are supposed to be monogamous and are not.

But it’s far not complicated than that.

Most single guys are here are not swingers whatsoever, just guys on a site for sex trying to have sex.

As Fab lets anyone join and give them

Money, it’s broad in its users. Therefore this site is not a good example of swingers. Although there’s are swingers on this site.

There’s a thought too that just because you join swingers in sex, doesn’t make you a swinger yourself.

Again, a single guy joins a couple who are swingers and has sex with the lady of the couple. Nothing unusual here as the single guy has previously had sex with women. This time though a husband is present.

That doesn’t make him a swinger, just common sexual activity that’s a bit kinky.

This site is full of this and the reason women / couples get bombarded with messages.

It’s not black and white that’s the problem. But it cannot be plain old vanilla sex or slightly kinky sex.

Again, does having 1 threesome make it swinging or a one off? Even if it’s all singles or couples?

everyone is different and situation is also, no one should be judged UNLESS its out of context or illegal or involves exploitation ect then I am not in agreement. (In its many forms) as adults we KNOW what they are...

I think singles get a bad rap. I’m a single and many would call me ‘not a swinger’ and ‘just looking for sex’... that said I’ve been on here for about 15 years with both couples and single profiles (depending on my real life relationship status). During this time I have engaged with the scene, organised parties and events and introduced others to the scene.

I think there ARE single swingers but I think the line is if you view this as a ‘sex site’ (pet hate) or not xx

For me swinging is defined as more than two people. Not necessarily a threesome it could be hotwifing etc

But two single people having sex is not swinging that's just shagging.

Swinging is where a couple may involve another couple or one or more singles or visa versa.

Again just my opinion.
