What’s more important to you on a profile? The text or the pictures?

Text, definitely

Though a combination is best, I like seeing who I write to as well

Probably the text. Like to get a feel for a personality.

Text can be copied to say anything but a series of natural pictures gives great insight into the personality and imagination of a person

I think it’s important to have a combination of both, as you can see from my profile I took a lot of time getting the palm of my hand in just the right light to bring its best feature Out, thus bringing the ladies to my yard (profile). My text was crafted over an afternoon of deep thought and meditation

Both for me, no point in interesting and engaging text if I have no idea what a woman looks like and vice versa.

The text. Both photos and text can be cleverly crafted to present an image of a person that's not quite the reality but in text I find it far easier to read a voice and if something is "true" or not.

Text is mostly just made up bollocks in here it copied from someone else, pictures probably tell you more, usually from things the user didn't mean to show you. I judge ppl by their messy kitchens and laundry piles and the quality of their photography skills.....

Yep!

And the aesthetic they are wanting to promote in the graphicness vs style. I like an occasional vag pic but if that’s all there is on a profile then it tells me something. Or if have a single profile and include other people in their pictures, I often wonder about consent.

A picture paints a thousand words!

I’d like to think that we offer a clear write up with our boundaries and expectations of ourselves and of others and we have tried to include photos of myself and the Mr as we want everyone to feel an attraction or at least some intrigue from the profile. However, I’m sure there’ll be some out there that will still criticise and condemn unfortunately.

Both, you definitely need text or how do you know what they are like as a person.

Picture can only tell you about the body, what about the mind.

Pictures as a rule* - I generally won't even read the text if nothing in the pictures captures my imagination

* I may be nosey on occasion and read the profiles of people even though I'm not interested in them sexually

Pictures are all well and good, but the text does say a lot about the person/couple as well. If someone can't put more than a paragraph down about themselves then it doesn't give you much to go on, it's as much about personality as well as looks...

You have a very good profile. I don’t know what there is to condemn. Good balance or him and her pictures too.

I look at the pictures first to get a mental image, then, if i didn't mind the pics, look at the text. If i like the text i look at the pics again , check age +interests and then sometimes look at veris.. Then i reread the opening message and decide whether to reply

shits creek

both.

I can forgive text that doesn't hit the mark if the pics show effort providing message content is better than the profile text.

Same way I can forgive pics that aren't amazeballs providing the text is awesome.

Saying that tho, I really ain't looking to meet or make new connections so it's all a bit bluegh at the mo.

Suppose I'm just flatlining and hoping at some point I'll get "grabbed" by someone.

I've seen profiles that would have previously got my fanny a flutter that now I just think.... "oh, it's a shame I may be celibate for the rest of my life coz we'd probably have had a wicked time"

I tend to message people based on something they’ve said on the forum so profile text is less important; seeing how someone is on here usually gives a better impression

Its a real ball ache when they included pictures in their opening email that disappear when you click on the profile, cos it's not until I go back to the message that i look at the additional pics if the profile was enticing..

In fairness i do explain that I'm discombobulating + vexatious.. "does what it says on the tin"

Oh and if I had to pick, it would be pictures. A good profile write up is nothing without pics. I can decide if I’m attracted to a man by seeing his photos, and with or without a profile text (although I obviously prefer them to have profile text)
