Morning or night?

Before eating or after?

Obviously I mean over an hour after eating.

Which do you prefer?

Discuss?

Whenever you have free time. If you have the luxury to choose time of day, I would say go in the morning.

You're more likely to have more energy then due to meals being digested etc. But I prefer mornings as it's a great endorphins boost for the rest of the day.

Yeah I got the reasoning behind it, it's just so much more convenient first thing in the morning then shower and get on with my day.

the abyss

When I wasn't a lazy slothI always tried to make sure I exercised in the morning. Mainly because by the afternoon/evening I would have found dozens of reasons not to do it at all

I usually go for a 7K run daily at 23:00 or so, but that's on account of work, and its cooler and no one's about.

I do mine first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Then sometimes if I feel I have enough energy I may do a bit in the evening as well

Dublin

Go the mornings now since lockdown. Half asleep on my cycles, still blurrey eyed...it is 6.15am after all.

I liked exercising at 9am. Coffee & banana at 7.30am. Drop kids to school & hit gym. Loads of energy.

Yonks ago went at 8pm to gym. Not recommended by me. Back home at 10pm, wound up & unable to sleep.

Dont mind the afternoon around 4pm also.

I pretty much do it when I can fit it in. I'm trying to make time to do yoga every morning because it sets me up really well for the day and then my more intensive stuff will be in the evening

Personally I prefer first thing.

But I've just started James Smith's book, and I'll hazard he'll say, whenever you can fit it in.

Training for a Marathon, evening during the week and morning on a Sunday, with the added benefit of not being able to have a drink Saturday night. So I lose weight easier and gain speed

Think this will depend on each individual, their lifestyle, commitments etc.

I tend to do exercise in mornings, whether cardio or kettlebells, and on an empty stomach. Not sure if this is good way to do it, but it works for me. When I worked night-shift, would excersise when got home. I also only give myself an 8 hour window to take in calories through the day.
