I'm sure the OP has a spare Wheat Bag stashed away for just such an occasion

Depends on what’s sore and what’s causing the soreness. Could be a muscle strain, could be nerves, could be just an ache, could be posture related, could be spine related, could be hip related... the only serious answer would be to see your GP or at the very least a sports therapist

A friend of mine walks to the park where they have chin up bars and he hangs from them for a few seconds. He swears it fixes his back.

Depends. Why's it sore? What kind of pain? If it's postural, then stretching, exercise (yoga's good) and a posture corrector (back brace) can all help. If you've injured yourself, then rest, anti-inflammatories and maybe some physio.

This too. I slept on a mattress that was far too soft for 5 years and my back was killing me. Bought a new bed with a nice firm mattress a couple of months back and I'm a new man

I have a bad back but whenever I've been for a back massage the ladies want to wank me off

Is it good for a bad back?

Depends what is causing the soreness, sometimes the root of back pain can be elsewhere.

I remember I had a really tight aching lower back. Turns out when I was running my hamstrings were worn out so my hip flexors would compensate for stability thus pulling on my lower back.

Foam rolled my hamstring and the back pain went.

Try some full body yoga or stretching. The soreness could be muscles spasms or overuse/repetitive movements.
