Why does this persist?

I've seen people in 'smart' trousers looking far scruffier than many in clean jeans so that's clearly not the issue.

Are all jeans wearers out to cause trouble?

It used to be all the rage when I did my drinking and cavorting

I thought things had changed now

Or is that I get past all the bouncers cos I am now old enough to think that chino's are acceptable garments to wear on a night out ?

Well i spose it depends on the style of jeans..those ones that hang off ya arse look scruffy no matter how expensive they are as are those ones that look like jodphurs...so rather than specify the type of jeans its easier just to say no to all of them

I love my jeans and will wear them whenever possible, including sometimes at work. They are stylish, not torn and they fit like a glove. I like combining them with white fitted blouses and jacket as well as some accessories - OH thinks they look classy and sexy and no, not out to cause trouble

i stopped wearing them a couple of years ago... i just thought that i looked silly in them at 55 years old lol

They look nice on older guys too....with a nice shirt n jacket...age in this case is irrelevant in my opinion

Nooooo, jeans can look classy and great and sexy on any age - it depends on the fit and typ and how you wear them, what you accessorise them.

If we are just going to a normal restaurant for a meal jay will wear jeans with a shirt and jacket. If we go somewhere nice he will wear trousers just shame he hasnt got an arse to put in them lol

I used to work the doors n would let someone in if they looked smart,I've also been admitted to clubs wearing Jeans........ I think they look smart we shoes n a nice shirt......but scruffy we trainers n tshirt/sweatshirt

We love jeans but Mr does says he miss,s the days of pants out in town he said all the build up on getting ready ironing his pants and looking dapper made the night, i believe on nights out unless a casual thing jeans isnt always appropiate smart skirts dress,s etc and pants on men, but we arent jeanist as we both love our jeans for the right occasions

I hate dress codes, I've always hated dress codes. I pesonally don't wear jeans cos I've never suited them, I think they look well sexy on other people....just not on me

I think i should clarify as the OP is a guy i am thinking about the way guys wear their jeans, as far as i can see they either wear em well or look fecking ridiculous..no inbetweenies now

For the record, I favour a well fitting pair of bootcut jeans.

I say well fitting but I actually need some new ones as I've lost some weight recently. It must be all the swinging!
