Sorry, so I couldn't really think of a snazzy title. Blame the heat.

Anyway, I was wondering - if you saw someone was friends with/had veried another person, would you message them asking for how best to approach the object of your desire? Are you more likely to do it if you're friends with a person? Or have you experienced it?

It's not something I'd really come cross before and I've been here a looong time so maybe it's just me being a bit naive.

In a ball gown because that's how we roll in N. Devon

I wouldn't, but I can see the logic..... Kind of.

And that's the shortest answer I think I've ever given you.

If I was looking (which I’m not) I wouldn’t message their friend, I’d go in blind and hope that I wasn’t too annoying. I’ve only had it done to me when I was younger and still had my rugged good looks.

Maldon and Peterborough

Naaaah. I'll tackle it in my usual manner:

with immense charm and wit.

Smothered them in compliments.

Show them how much i adore them.

.

Or ask them if they fancy a fuck.

Hmm this is giving me ideas to message the guys in the OP's verifications and ask them what can I do to get her attention

Yeah, I get the mutual friend aspect I think... kind of. They'll know you and know them and be well placed to wing woman you.

KIDLINGTON

No I think that would be cringe.

I'd rather approach them myself and see if my personality etc wins them over. Getting tips on how to approach them is kind of acting differently to normal which defeats the object.

Your rugged good looks are still clear in the hand, don't be too hard on yourself.

La la land

Personally I'd prefer to bite the bullet myself in getting to know someone. As I think people click with others in different ways. Me for example to some I'd be a silly and laugh to others deep and thought provoking, depends on how the conversation goes and how comfortable I feel. If someone presumed to know me it would put my back up instantaneously. I'm rambling now sorry

Oh god, I'd be far too scurred! I'm actually a really private person (who'd have thought it!) with my own rubbish but unique style of approach.....

Good to see you posting Meli

The right place

I let one of my friends know that another one of my friends fancied them only yesterday. I had permission to do so.

Lordy, no, that's all a bit teenage angst! It would put me about if someone did that to me - I'm not that scary, and I'd like someone to be confident enough to just approach me.

I don't mind the rambling, that was a mild case of it so acceptable. Yes, I do think we know people differently and in turn that colours our interactions with them - I might think person x is really daft and so talking to them with jokes would be what I suggest. The reality is that's the side of them I know and it might be a facade so a jokey approach might fall flat on its face.

Exactly, I think it's best to know people yourself rather than by second hand knowledge. Wether it be someone you want to interact romantically with or friendship.
