Do people put pics up of themselves that are completely non representative of what they actually look like? It doesn’t matter if you were 8st 6 months ago. If you are 16st now, for goodness sake!! Put THAT pic up too! It would save us all a lot of time and effort.

Does anyone else ever feel “Mis sold” when you go for a meet?

I put up pics that show me in my best light. There are more wobbly pics in my friends only pics. I used to either meet at clubs or do socials first so they can see me in my wobbly, 3D glory before we decide if it goes any further x

Yes. I met a man once who was clearly nearly 60 when he was supposed to be 48 and 6inches shorter than he stated. I said hello and left. I was fuming at having ny day wasted.

Agreed. At the end of the day, I am who I am. I’m not a fan of having my photo taken at the best of the times so the photos I do have are the ones I feel make me look my best. I have only met someone once who didn’t look like their photo. They looked nothing like their photo. Needless to say, our meeting was cut short.

Totally agree. A few 6 months old or so yes,but keep updating them too.

Nothing worse than walking past someone you think your meeting and there stood in front of you looking well what can i say..

It was proving I’m not a robot with pictures of zebra crossings and traffic lights that I found most difficult to calculate

As with most things there is a margin of appreciation in photos.

It needs to be reasonably representative, but it doesnt need to show you in your worst light.

It needs to be reasonably recent, but even a couple of years shouldnt be a huge concern. Few people change from being "Someone i'd like to fuck" to "Fuck no" in the space of 24 months.

If you have substantially changed, gained or lost masses of weight, been slapped around the face with a shovel since they were taken, yes, you should update your photos or at the very least remove the old ones which are misleading.
