As you probably well know Granny, the ice cream shop on the front at Parkgate is wonderful and there's nothing like a windswept afternoon ditt looking over to the Mother Country (Wales) with a scummy cornet to lick. Mmmmmmmm. The pavements are a bit shit for wheelchair users though - had to perform some wheelchair gymnastics last time, so may be worth keeping in mind as a retirement venue
