Anyone else find it really annoying when you are looking to buy a new one that the dealers never just put the price of the car all inclusive at the start.

It’s always a game of plus plus plus

I’ve only ever bought one car brand new, what a great way to turn a lot of money, into not a lot of money.

Never again.

It all depends on how long you’re planning to keep it for, my last van was brand new when I got it and was 5 years old this year with 180,000 on the clock and would still be driving it now if someone had not written me off

Chams or Socials

Never bought brand new for the simple reason of depreciation, let someone else take the hit first. The minute you drive it out the showroom its second hand.

Same. Last one was 3 years old at the time with 6000 miles. (How someone manages to do so little mileage is beyond me!)

It's a game, never let on that you're a cash buyer, they want those finance deals. Just tell them the vehicle you want withe the options etc, then get down to haggling, once again never let on that you can pay outright until you settle a price.

Car salesmen/women biggest con artist on the planet

I normally just tell them what i want to pay then let them do the rest always get the car i want for the price i want

Its not what they sell the car for its how many cars they sell. End of month always seems good time to buy if they havnt hit target an never buy when new reg is out because they no u want the new reg so they name the price

Nothing fancy. First car was a Peugeot 107 bought the year they stopped making them. Traded it in after a few years fir a 208. They accidentally offered me a price based on 10,000 less miles but as it was March they just gave me what they offered as they wanted rid .

top of the range model is always on display in the showrooms along with the price and usually list of the extras such as metalic paint , alloys etc you just need to look , i used to work selling audis and then bmws and trust me the price of the new cars was always displayed in the showroom.

Wakefield

I went in to a dealers once with cash in the bank waiting to buy a new car. I ended up walking out without one because he tried to sell me finance I didn’t want. I learnt a valuable life lesson.

Give people what they want not what you think they want.

There is only one new car that I would buy today other than that it would have to be 10+years old. Most modern stuff is crap imo.
