Socks first, then shoes....because if a disaster happens like a zombie attack or your house collapses or you get chased by serial killer or a scary clown you'd look silly rinning out with one sock and shoe....Or just one sock.

I am not sure velcro is a good idea in the event of a disaster happening, it may come unstuck and then you get tangled up in the sticky
