Do you think we ve become an almost impatient species in that we have grown so used to technology fixing things etc that we now expect solutions etc yesterday...I spend almost all my waking time working with nature so I work at her speed which is sloww.. i let nature take its course. I ve seen many a comment such as we re the human race the impossible is now very possible or even nothing is impossible. I ve seen rants or heard them because wifi has gone down for 5 minutes or an hour...just curious

We have all become slaves to technology now , some of us were lucky enough to be kids and grow up without mobile phones , computers , on line gaming ,facebook etc. I loved my childhood lot of great memories i feel sorry for kids nowdays technology is making the world an horrible place

Technology and specially the internet is definitely causing huge damage to our mental health. It’s making us all impatient, intolerant, angry people. That’s not to say it doesn’t have any benefits - it’s an incredibly powerful tool that’s enabled lots of good things too - but it’s definitely having a very negative effect on us all in other ways.

Life was better without it

I agree..when places like Hong Kong are painting " Look up" on road junctions to try and reduce road/ pedestrian incidents due to people stepping off kerbs looking only at their phone and not the fraffic..thats crazy. Im lucky..fab is the only thing I use my phone for and I only have a computer to edit photos and music. It makes me a bit of an outcast but thats cool with me. I think we are losing more than we are gaining in many respects. But thats my opinion

Modern technology has brought massive benefits in all sorts of ways, but sadly it has taken over society and people’s lives.

I think in general it has made people impatient, selfish and entitled.

People have been brainwashed into thinking technology is the panacea for all our problems but is actually the cause of many of them.

Just to clarify, I am not a Luddite, I embrace the many good things this technology has brought us , I am just not blind to it’s downsides.

So called time savers NEVER actually give you more time. Time is constant. They just allow you to fit more in and fuzzy your mind....

Hey love this Nippy. Speeding or slowing time is a human perception..time just IS..we created the clock and calender so we could feel we have a control over time..for me there is only night and day, dark and light.

Doing new or novel things slows time down.

I don't think technology had "made" us do or be anything we weren't already. Technology is not able to manipulate us, it isn't sentient or capable of independent thought (yet). Humans are responsible for how they use it and the effect it has on their lives. We're an impatient species, a species who will en masse be horribly unkind or extremely caring, lazy, keen to take the easiest route, thirsty for information etc and it's us who've developed technology to enable us to do or be all these things more efficiently. All of it has an off switch and its down to us to use it if we feel things are going too far.
