"Yep have had my pics and text stolen several times. The funniest was by a guy who also apparently loves to dress slutty chic in the bedroom " Wasn’t me

"I'm interested in the assumptions of ownership. Which words were invented and patented ? Take it as a compliment. I think it's funny that he's out there somewhere with something he couldn't explain if he tried." Well theoretically if you write something original and put it up as profile text then you get automatic copyright to that text. Same with a forum post. So someone using your text in their profile verbatim could be considered copyright infringement. The same would go for using someone else's photographs.

Why should somebody steal another’s thoughts and descriptions?

"It's still plagiarism and fraud. " I'm not sure that would have any legal standing

"It's still plagiarism and fraud. I'm not sure that would have any legal standing " Perhaps, but the dictionary definition of plagiarism is: the practice of taking someone else's work or ideas and passing them off as one's own.

"It's still plagiarism and fraud. There are far too many people on here already who are pretending to be something that they're not. I can't condone that by accepting it as a compliment. I advocate people doing a reverse image search to check whether profiles are using stolen photos too. " Totally agree! Saying it’s a compliment doesn’t change the fact that they are pinching photos to create a fake profile. Fake profiles on here are just pointless and annoying

"I go with the “imitation is the sincerest form of flattery” view, articulated by many already. If he didn’t like it, or thought it wasn’t cool, would he have stolen it? But my view only extends as far as someone from the opposite sex stealing text and IP from profile. If it was someone from the same sex (i.e that you are “in competition” with) and they had more success on here with meets, then I would be p*ssed..!!!" Mostly I get a lot of messages asking me what the words mean....

" Mostly I get a lot of messages asking me what the words mean.... " The fact he has stolen it, clearly without understanding it (unless of course he does truly appreciate a nice beard!) will certainly be interesting if people ask him questions about it. I suspect it will be pretty obvious to anyone that those aren't his words when he sends out the usual 'how u doin?' FAF? type messages & is incapable of holding an intelligent conversation. K
