Has anyone applied for and received a new mortgage since the start of corona virius. Date wise say From April 2020 onwards.

Depends if it’s for a new purchase or existing. I have recently had a decision in principle for a new property

Imagine it was probably quite quick with less volume of mortgages being offered? I had to chase and chase in sept last year.

My son in law has his own Mortgage Brokerage and has never been busier. It would appear that lenders are softening up a little.

The only issue I had was that they wouldn’t value the house during full lock down as they wouldn’t come inside - I eventually convinced them to do a valuation from the outside

Yep I remortgaged in the last month or so and had no problems.
