"I did it once. Never again! At the start it was great to get paid for doing something I loved but then it became a chore and took most of the enjoyment out of it. Expectations, goal setting etc just spoilt it." ^^This^^ ![]()

This is what I thought would happen with my outdoors stuff..leading set groups in a set time with no option of diversions and distractions..my wild places for me were never meant to be enjoyed by the clock. ![]()

"I did turn my passion into a job. ![]() It’s has significant challenges (like most jobs), but when I see people making progress and feeling better, or receive a card saying the work we’ve done together has changed their life... yes. The passion is rekindled and I’m reminded why I’ve worked as hard as I have to achieve my career. ![]()

"I did turn my passion into a job. ![]() ![]() ![]() Exactly and that’s what’s important for me. I know my levels of motivation to go to work are going to fluctuate daily - that’s only natural. Who wakes up every single day feeling on top of the world and wanting to be at their desk immediately? I wake up like that some days, but definitely not all. But I don’t think that’s a realistic expectation of anyone because humans don’t work like that. So long as I have a connection with why I wanted to help people in the first place, then I am happy and contented with my career choice and I know, underneath the very many challenges I face daily, I’m ultimately still achieving my passion. And I also know that I can never lose connection with the reasons why... because the event that triggered my passion is something of such profound emotional significance, it is engrained deeply in the person I am, and always has been.

"I did turn my passion into a job. ![]() ![]() ![]() I love this, well done and best wishes to you...it sounds like your work helps others find something they need. Im lucky in that I dont have a desk, I have wild places so I do wake up everyday looking forward to my work, miss it when not there. I invoice them once home and the money is transferred to my bank so keeping the two worlds apart..seems to work for me ![]()
