I normally dislike most things about my body and always would be the first to put myself down.

However I have recently been trying to see more of the positives about myself and accept my imperfections.

One 'problem' area for me are my boobs.

I am a middle aged woman and my boobs are changing as I age and in some ways I was saddened and felt self conscious that they had lost their firmness and volume but today a guy messaged our couples profile and paid me the most lovely compliment regarding my boobs.

The impact of a compliment has made me totally accept that yes my boobs have changed but they are still beautiful and desirable.

Sometimes we are hard on ourselves, and judge ourselves far too much. But someone in our Fab community has had a positive impact on me and I want to say thank you and encourage everyone to pay those beautiful compliments to each other as they may not only make someone smile but change a perception of themselves for the better.

I just wanted to share my positive experience with you all.

this. I agree. I get lots of empty compliments I take with a large mountain of salt but every now and then someone I sort of know from the forums will randomly send one and it’s lovely x

I think you're being way too hard on yourself. I know lots of women who'd be very jealous of your figure. You look pretty fine to me. Don't let anyone judge you. You are what you are and that's beautiful.

There’s a lot to be said for being less critical. I know we’re all made to think that if you don’t have a perfect body it makes you a failure but the truth is: nice person, naked, doing sexy things - the marginal difference in curvature or softness compared to 10 years ago is immaterial

They look like a cracking pair to me.

It's great that you are finding some acceptance of yourself. Women are remarkably hard on themselves in my experience. Often they think that the imperfections they perceive in themselves is representive of the way others view them, and that is so often self-delusion. Luke

I’m so pleased it did. Sometimes it really does. I had a random complimentary message from a lady from the forums and it really shocked and surprised me. It’s nice to do that sometimes x

I really hated my boobs when they reached a H after breastfeeding and never went down again

Until I met my fwb on here and he helped me to love them, once I realised how much he loved them, I started looking at them differently and that added to my body confidence over all

I understand your comments, bodies are changing they are not how they used to be, but it is still beautiful, as it’s you.

You have hit the nail on the head, I needed to feel it for myself and it felt empowering and liberating to let go of that negativity. X
