Thongs is what they’re called in Australia and new Zealand. Flip flops seems to be British.

Heard them called toe posts by people occasionally..

Personally only ever called them f**king useless bas***d things when they continually rub the skin off between my toes and leave blisters!

I have feet incompatible with Flip flops / toe thongs / toe posts
