I’m a great believer in honesty!

I consider myself to be behaving cautiously and responsibly. Covid will be here for a long time. Freedoms which the government issues one week are withdrawn the next. Whilst I understand the reasoning, this will go on indefinitely until the majority of the population have been vaccinated - and that may never happen.

We’ve been told that covid is something we need to learn to live with - so I’m doing just that.

I’m not willing (or able if my mental wellbeing is to continue) to give up physical intimacy, affection and general human closeness/contact indefinitely- and I doubt I’m in the minority.

When we look in the future at the havoc that has been wreaked by Covid, I suspect a huge increase in suicide, self harm and general mental health issues will be high on the list due to the enforced isolation this virus has caused!

I’m more than happy to debate the issue further should anyone wish - but I won’t apologise for being human with basic human needs!

I agree with you. I haven't met anyone since lockdown but everyone has to decide _ased on their own opinion of the risks. Fab is against meeting using their site but without evidence it couldn't be traced back to them meaning it shouldn't jeopardize the site legally.

Were now in a state of fluctuating numbers of cases and as you've said it's not going anywhere soon so I hope people will realise this is a personal choice that some would've considered carefully.

Nope. I have been a Shielder for so long now I have forgotten what the outside world looks like. I get the odd request from bi men to meet and offerig to suck me off. But turn them down.. best response 'can't get covid from a blow job'..

Agree.. i think in principle. You can never know the full interactions of the other person though.

That is where the trust comes in and knowing the other individual. I’m not talking about a new person, but someone you’ve known a while and that’s why you’ve created your bubble.

We have to understand that a site like this will be under scrutiny by various organisations to ensure they are not endorsing people meeting.

However, the rules do allow people to meet with others, form bubbles, and judging by the amount people you see out and about today, social distancing is being flaunted all the time.

You need to think very carefully about your own risk, the risk to the other person, the risk to other people they are in contact with, the risk to other people you are in contact with.

I can't see this site condoning meets until next year at the earliest, and possibly even longer.

Not true, they don't. I recently received a late meet veri from a lovely guy I knew before lockdown, and it's still sitting there where I can't publish it - it doesn't automatically convert over.

We haven't met during the lock down but would for a coffee or pint that's OK ... oh no that's been revoked OK we can still meet them in a park

Would we want to break the rules? Perhaps but is it worth the risk to us or anyone else, we don't think it is.

(Our current understanding of bubbles - you can form a bubble 1 household with 1 other single person or single parent, no member of the bubble can be in another bubble.)

That's pretty much how I'm feeling about things, too, Peach. Although I probably couldn't have articulated it quite as well.

While I'm not seeing anyone for naughties, I have two or three bubbles at the moment (as a friend described it, more of a foam

) but I don't see any of them together, and living (and largely working) alone it's proved necessary for my mental health. I've had to reach out recently to a friend who is a mental health first aider and have actually just been assessed and passed for further support for anxiety and depression. Which are possibly longer-term problems than I realised, but lockdown certainly hasn't helped with them

And as you say, people assess risks on an individual basis

As soon as I could 'bubble' , I did. I'm poly and it's hard not to see lovers. One I see without intimacy. Another with. We are talking about extending a tiny bit in the coming months but with thought and care and by making informed choices according to personal circumstances and situations. I won't be casually meeting people any time soon if we don't already have a solid _ase of communication and trust around our lifestyles. Slowly slowly and consciously.

It's all tricky and tentative and I feel it all requires sensitivity to others and their choices, whatever they are.

So my answer is technically yes BUT we actually know eachother in the “real” world and both have been isolating so she was in my social bubble and I had a Covid test after and was negative. A girls gotta do what a girls gotta do right.... i doubt I’d meet a stranger or a holidaymaker (I’ve had offers as I live in Cornwall).
