Just look up honey mustard chicken on the BBC website.

Parboil some potatoes, throw some chicken thighs in a baking tray, drop in the potatoes on top, whack it in the oven.

Last few minutes add peas, and it says to add spinach, but I add in frozen Savoy cabbage instead. So whack in the peas and cabbage.

5 mins later, you've got chicken roasties and veg, for not a lot of effort at all. And not much dishes to stick in the dishwasher either.

Sometimes I like to treat myself to a nice meal, but most of the times I just put together something quick and simple. The cooking itself is something I really enjoy...the problem is cleaning the mess up when I finish.

When I was at Uni and I had a roast craving I would just do roast potatoes and gravy on their own. Would eat them by the bowlful. Sometimes add some stuffing balls. Almost a roast without the hassle.

Freeze what's left and you've got next Sundays sorted, I freeze it in seperate bags ie meat in one, veg in another and then just make fresh gravy on the day.

I am Sure someone will say you can't but I've never had a problem

I ususally work Sundays so don't bother, but in truth, I rarely cook for myself anyway, Sunday or not.

I'll just have a sandwich or toast. Something that takes zero effort. I know it's wrong but I do just see it as a waste of gas cooking just for me
