Right you weird lot! I have a 12 hour night shift tonight and just noticed I have several unused audible credits.

Give me some book recommendations to keep me busy!

I love most genre’s, but my favourites are fantasy, sci-fi and historical fiction.

Keep me amused! MWAH! X

Christian Jacq is a good one! I’ve read one or two, but there are loads I’ve got on my wish list. X

You’ll have read most of the usual Classics I’m sure. How about Tom Holt or Joe Abercrombie?

Wilbur Smith does a lot of good historical fiction. He's done an ancient Egypt series, an Age of Sail series, as well as a Boer war era, WW1 era and up to modern times series, too!

Brandon Sanderson’s Storm-light Archive ( 2 books out - third one later this holiday season ) and mistborn series.

If you’re in Fantasy - probably would have read Robert Jordan’s ( wheel of time already ) and Robin Hobbs Faarseer books.

But these ones are quite good for just regular fantasy reading and I forgot the latest

The Gentleman Bastards Chronicles by Scott lynch which comes highly recommended

One top tip for audible was to return your completed books credits (same year ) to get a full refund credit back . I can’t thank my friend enough- never been more happier.

Guessing you’ve already read them, but the hunger games trilogy is a great read. If you’re willing to add lots of humour to the sci fi mix then you can’t beat Terry Pratchett.

I can see from your photos you enjoy classics...there's loads of classic audio books on iPlayer.

I'd recommend Frankenstein. Or Gullivers Travels - satirical, piss funny and very sexually explicit!

There has never been a time more apt than right now to read 1984 by George Orwell and shrink as you realise it’s all coming true.

Tattooist of Auschwitz is a great book

The Station series (6 books) by David Downing are a good read about a policeman in Germany following his life before, during and after the war

I read that in 1984 - wasn’t true at that time but I was intrigued by ‘Big Brother’ when it came out as I thought it would be a social experiment based on the concepts of the book. I was disappointed!

The best audiobook I've ever listened to was It, read by Steven Weber. 44 hours worth of a great story by a great reader.
