And before you say 'oh no - not this old chestnut again' i've just searched previous threads and this is a new question - not how, or why can't I - but Why do you?

Seen a couple of threads commenting on fabbing - but wondered why people decide to push that button?

Like me are you just complimenting a nice photo - relishing it's artistic merit (or stunning arse!) - or is there another motivation - to get them to look at you, get around contact blocks, or just because your finger had a nervous twitch at the time and you really didn't mean to!

I fab safe ones, ie people we have met, spoke to about meeting, or people who I know won't assume we want to meet them if the contact is a fab'd pic....so I would say we fab as a compliment.

It's a nice compliment when my pics are fabbed, so when I'm perving at others (erm I mean looking, of course!) I like return the favour... Although yes, its always judged on artistic merit alone

No ulterior motive here just appreciative. Have in the past sent messages to profiles saying how good the profile and/or photos were and without fail the compliment gets ignored and deleted, no doubt under the assumption that I am trying to get in under the radar (even if we are 300 miles apart and I am quite honestly not) … always learning lessons though; slowing down with compliments and friendly comments. Aiming to be a complete twat before the years out

See - interesting point! I have to confess to having a sneaky peek at those that have fabbed me too - but you can usually spot the ones desperate to attract your attention as they fab every pic in your profile, rather than just the good ones!

If any of mine are fab'd I just take it as a compliment, also if someone messages me who is clearing outwith my criteria and a few hundres miles away,saying 'love your pics' or something to that affect, I do respond with a thank you for the compliment, as you know that is all they mean

I fab pics of people I know if I think it's a nice pic of them. I fab other people's pics if I like it for whatever reason - usually it really is because it's an arty pic which appeals.

I don't fab many (maybe a dozen and a half in total so far). I also don't use it instead of a wink - it's purely a compliment

i fab pics if i like them, i rather think thats the idea isnt it? lol not many pics stand out to me tho but if i do see a pic and think its good i do fab it, i have had guys mail me and say thanks for the fab which has lead to a meet so it can be a good way of making contact too

I like fabbing pics I like, but it would be to those I'm interested in meeting with...I dont fab male profiles pics...and I rarely ever even go into the fab pics section, I just o to the profile instead(no doubt theyre hotlisted lol)

Only fab it if I like it, not to get a response, but its the minority and not the majority, like i said just happened a couple of times, but still makes me cautious.

Surely any right minded (and I use the term very much tongue in cheek!) pic collector wouldn't bother fabbing - just nicking as there's blatantly no porn anywhere else on this Internet thingy!!

I tend to fab pictures if they take my fancy at the time. its just a compliment. Its more often than not a picture that shows a persons face or its creative and artistic

We tend to fab pictures that are more artistic or just well captured regaurdless whether we are intrested or not.

With that said we could quiet easily sit here fabbing pics all day that don't match the above lol!!

I fab photos that I think are particularly nice to look at and it is meant as a compliment.

And I can go to the 'Pics I've fabbed' section if I want a look at a gallery of gorgeous bods! If that makes me a pic collector, then so be it!

I fab the occasional pic, not because I want to meet someone, but because I think the pic is good - I guess I use it a bit like a "like" button.

I`ll fab any picture that I like, purely as a comment on the picture. If it deserves more than that because there`s something about the picture that`s special then I`ll send a message with a more personal comment. But it goes to say that looking at it logically, there must be some interest if the pictures catch your eye in the first place.

If I like the pic, and find I like the profile as well as the pic, then I would not hesitate to hit the FAB button.

However, I would refrain from fabbing a pic that I like if I do not like the profile.

As we suspected, allowing Fabbing of our photo's has turned out to be mostly a new way of single guys saying a digital "phooaaar!!!"

But it gives Tash a confidence boost when she see's how many like her photo's!

Think I've fabbed the Where's Bussy pic and Mr Lick's ear once, other than that, it's mostly peeps I've met if they get a new one up....I don't often look at who's fabbed mine unless I need an ego boost,(I'm as vain as the next person) but if I get a message complimenting specific pics (i.e. not "Nice pics, fancy a shag") I always send a personal message back thanking them and giving a few details about the pro ones

I don't think I've ever 'fabbed' a picture-it's just not something I've thought of doing-but I assume that when people 'fab' ours, they are just saying they like what they see.After all, if they wanted to make contact, surely they would just send us a message?
