I know we have had gin topics before but I’m always up for learning about different types.

What’s your favourite gin and what do you like with it?

I’m currently drinking tanqueray number 10 with Schweppes tonic (I prefer it to fever tree and the like) and yes I know it’s early, but it’s the weekend

I started my gin journey with flavoured gin and lemonade but now I prefer plain.

My favourite gin is perfume trees gin from Hong Kong, it’s ridiculously expensive (for how quickly I drink it) but I was lucky enough to get a bottle in the gin club and it’s on my birthday wish list.

This. But I do like Hendricks with normal Indian tonic and cucumber, or Tanquaray with elderflower cordial and tonic

Like you I started with sweet gin. I now like Tarquins Cornish gin with lemonade. Slice of lime or lemon. So refreshing.

I also really enjoy a more botanical peppery flavour or a Ophir gin again lemonade tonic has too much of a bitter taste for me.

North Bucks

Another Tanquaray and Elderflower fan here. Only thing with Gin for me is if I have too much the hangover is like no other. So I tend to stick to it early on in an evening especially outdoors lush.

I have been making my own Cordial to varying degrees of success as have a lot of Elder in the paddock.

I’ve just returned from Cornwall and didn’t like Tarquins I tried all of them -of course but none of them did it for me. Loved the blue angel rock gin though that was amazing

Try it with cranberry juice instead of ginger ale aswell - dangerously easy to drink but just think of all the Vit C you must get

I’m ok if I don’t mix it. My worse hangover was after lilly white brought a bottle of bramble gin to mine and we had it with Prosecco. I thought I had died the next day

Favourite is Martin Miller, schweppes tonic and slice of lemon.

Go to is Bombay with anything! Cold brewed tea in lemonade, tonic, plain lemonade... add lemon, lime, raspberries. It's a great base gin.

Have you tried Drumshanbo Gunpowder gin? Another Irish beaut. Good with lemon & cardamom, maybe pepper.

My favourite is Faith & Sons pineapple - only gin I'll happily drink neat. Forest Gin is great, too - they make it with locally foraged berries & aromatics, comes in a lovely earthenware bottle. They do an Earl Grey edition too.

I love all kinds of flavours of gin. Up until a few weeks ago I'd never had just a normal gin & tonic with cucumber (always thought it was a bit posh) but Wow it was yummy and the cucumber definitely takes it to another level

So back to gin
