I read her dads biography last year totally made me understand her more. I loved her voice. So sad indeed. Such a waste of talent.

Agreed, especially enjoy the Friday night music programmes. Nothing old about BBC4, our son (almost 18) enjoys the music programming too.

The BBC4 viewer has an inquiring mind. There are no age boundaries to a quest for knowledge...

Not a nerd, but a lady of refined and intellectual tastes

BBC 4 has some excellent programs. How else would we have discovered Scandi dramas?

Have you never watched Scandi dramas on BBC 4? Wallander (not the British remake with Kenneth Branagh), the Bridge, Trapped...

Then of course there was Inspector Montalbano from a much sunnier part of the world.

Some of my recent favourites from Four are:

Huey Morgan's Latin Music Adventure

The Hidden Wilds of the Motorway

The Art of Persia

Four started the trend for ScandiNoir crime drama with The Killing. Also worth looking out for is gritty French crime drama 'Spiral' (don't think it's on iPlayer at the moment).
