Question - why do people on here refer to men & women as males & females? It seems odd to me that people use these terms, and it's restricted to this site as far as I can tell.

In normal conversation you wouldn't use those terms, so why on here?

All over the place! Northwesr, , Southwest

I personally employ men / women most of the time.

I suppose male / female has sexual undertones given the site's nature?

I always felt that ladies/gentlemen seemed more common.

See all sorts of terms used on here to be honest so hadn't given it much thought until now.

Generally, male/female are the recognised terms used when discussing sexual situations though so I'd guess that's why.

It reads so oddly though - it's just not used in normal speech. I find it very weird. Maybe it's just me!

To me it feels almost demeaning.

Do you need somebody to rub you the right way?

If talking about threesomes say, it'd be MMF or MFF or MFM etc. The site itself uses both, in 'looking for' you can look for men or women but couples are M/F or F/F or M/M.
