Or a female dog. I think it may be an Australian term, as a I recall seeing it in the poems of 'Banjo' Patterson (he wrote 'waltzing Matilda', amongst other works)

Slattern is another old term for untidy lazy which is rarely used.

I remember some of the (now horribly dated) slang we used to use as kids at school in the eighties;

‘Fresh’ - Implied that something was good.

‘Rad’ - Again a positive affirmation denoting that one approved of something or else that it was deemed positive in some way.

‘Sucking yer teeth’ - To this day I still do not know exactly what this term denoted but I think it was an insult of some description.
