A bottle of cola? And if you’re feeling “flush” (ahem) then maybe a bottle of rum to really show the toilet a good time.

Excuse my toilet humour......

"... in the toilet... it just won't go! Tips?"

I used to design de-scaler as my first job! We used citric acid but you could either use vinegar ( a bit smelly) or ( contain phosphoric acid) over night. Warm them up as the heat accelerates the reaction.

Eat 2 lamb Vindoloos one after the other , washed down with umpteen pints of stout , packet of wassabe coated peanuts , 1 tin of sweet corn and 2 / 3 heaped tablespoons of Andrews liver salts ... It won’t remove the the lime scale , however the pebble dashing effect will pale it into insignificance .. And you will never give it another thought

Yes, it contains phosphoric acid. Put a penny in it overnight and it will clean it and will dissolve a tooth as well x

I had this problem in my halls of residence as it clearly hadn't been cleaned well by the previous occupant. I read a blog post about soaking paper towels in anti limescale toilet cleaner and sticking it to the affected areas overnight. It's not fun fishing it all back out after but it worked.

You can't flush paper towels, it would block the toilet.
