If you are foreign, and you found out your potential meet is vehemently pro brexit... Would you still let them sample your foreign goods?

Why? Are you suggesting you can't associate with people who have a different viewpoint? I voted remain, but some people offer plausible arguments for leaving...and none of them anything to do with opinions of other countries and nationality...purely economic reasons.

Not questioning the xenophobia angle which sorts itself out as such people wouldn't want to see me anyway. But for the rest - is it simply a different viewpoint as you say, or is it a direct action contributing to my life becoming *that* much more uncertain and laden with bureaucracy? Do I turn a blind eye to the lack of empathy, let alone the out-and-out message that maybe I shouldn't be here at all?

Real-life dilemma btw, really wanted seconds with someone when I found out

I completely agree With you

everyone can and should have their own views and it should be encouraged to discuss them, except when you've been personally affected by it

Now this is purely a personal opinion that in my case I have zero interest in meeting some one who would now classify me as a foreigner or who's vote risked my livelihood and impacted my way of life so dramatically, with reasons I'm yet to hear a good argument for

Good luck to them, but not for me I'm afraid

To be honest, as a "foreigner" I have found that many anti-brexiters have abrasive personalities and can be very condescending and offensive to those who did not vote the same way they did. These are the people I avoid.

Nah, I wouldn't bring it up generally. I've had political discussions with people and even when we don't agree we are mature enough to realise that differences of opinions don't matter.

If someone pro brexit started spouting racist crap thinking we were on the same page they would get a shock.

I think it's mental, not physical, and very very personal indeed because it's about someone's beliefs not just stuff they were born with like eye colour, it's attachments if they've cultivated and nurtured.

Person A won't fuck someone because they're a Muslim or Christian or not the correct religion, despite being a great match in all other areas of life.

Person B won't fuck a person because they did or didn't vote Brexit despite the same great match described above

Seems a bit short sighted and pointless and I don't see why we can't calibrate and integrate our differences, but yes it's personal choice as long as a person can own that choice and not deflect it to the irrelevant extremes

Heck, even as a third generation immigrant I feel offended on my families behalf over some of the anti-immigrant rhetoric of recent.

Voting leave isn't an automatic no. Being one of those brexit obsessed people or showing any signs of xenophobia would be though. Also if you're OTT about being English. It's just boring.
