I'm not a killjoy but there's nothing I'm looking forward to.

All of those types of things mean harder work for me and it's already brutal.

So for me, contentment in solitude when I have time to simply "be" and switch my brain and body off.

Bonfire night would be fine if people didn't set fireworks off a month either side of it

Travelling

Kids going trick or treating while social distancing?

Rush Christmas shopping while social distancing?

Bonfire night can fuck off anyway. What a load of shite and waste of time that bollocks is any year.

This year is not going to turn out happy and carefree like previous years may have.

Winter is my favourite time. I love the cold and the dark nights and my big wooly hat.

Obviously it's looking slightly different this year. But I usually enjoy Halloween. I love the costumes, many are sexy too, rock clubs always have good Halloween parties and I love horror films.

I love Christmas though. Always have. The music, the smells, the food!

Halloween! Autumn is my favourite season anyway but I love all the cliched consumerist crap that comes with it - the pumpkin spice lattes, the daft dressing up, the seasonal food. And horror is my favourite genre so it's an excuse to indulge in that side without shame.

I'm with Peach. I'm not looking forward to anything. Cocoon, self preservation, protect myself and my community, roll on vaccine.

Surely you can enjoy these things without crowds? I’ll do something fun with the kids and the small bubble we have created with my next door neighbour For Halloween even if it means they just knock at each other’s house and then come watch a child friendly scary movie with popcorn

Don’t do anything for bonfire night anyway

Christmas is just me and my kids but we have our own ways of creating our magic and excitement and still manage to avoid all the ott consumerism and a lot of the negativity that people seem to be increasing in each year, cosy nights, Hot chocolate, decorations and nice food. It doesn’t need to be crowds of people.

I have a lot of reasons to not be excited about the rest of this year but instead of being grumpy I’m just going to think of some new ways to make it fun and enjoy what I have

Wirral

I love Christmas. I'm not sure whether a lot of the things that I love doing will be feasible this year, but at the very least I will be able to spend time with my family, I'll have a nice long break from work, I'll get cheesy Christmas movies on tv and it'll be perfectly acceptable to start drinking before noon (Christmas, innit).

Plus then there's new year when 2020 can fuck right off.

What's not to love?
