The World's End is such a good film

Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz are funnier, but this one is more relatable. Five friends trying to recapture their youth in their hometown.

Simon Pegg's character is a selfish loser who treats his friends like crap and has never done anything with his life, but out of all of the characters in that film, he's the most relatable, the most human.

Loved Shaun of the dead and hot Fuzz but really didn't like that one. Was gutted when I first watched it lol

Paul was really good as well

Travelling

It's by far the most superior of the cornetto trilogy in terms of writing and directing, Edgar Wright outdid himself with it.

As much as I like Shaun of the Dead, and Hot Fuzz (and not in that order - I think Shaun is by far the worst), they didn't have the heart, emotion, or intellect that Worlds End has. It is a much deeper movie than the previous two. The little details through out the movie are amazing but so easy to miss.

To be honest I was disappointed with the story line in world's end. It was almost like an end of the world zombie apocalypse feel.

Shaun if the dead and Hot Fuzz I found funny as feck.

Den of Iniquity

It was ok I guess .

But Shaun of the Dead was far better and funnier

I liked World’s End up until the sci-fi elements kicked in. Something about it just didn’t click and the ending was a real dud. Shaun feels the most heartfelt to me, and Hot Fuzz is easily the most watchable. Still can’t believe they left Jessica Hynes out of the gang.

Hmm. I remember thinking it was the worst of the 3. Maybe I should rewatch. It'll probably be on ITV 4 at some point this week so.

If they can find space between back-to-back screenings of Skyfall

I didn’t like it to begin with but after watching it a few times it’s grown on me, still prefer the others in the cornetto trilogy

I think the whole cornetto to trilogy shows a development of both a writer and director, all good films but can see where you’re coming from OP definitely

You’ve got red on you....

I preferred Hot Fuzz and Sean of the dead, and I loved Paul, I was a bit disappointed with The worlds end.

Great film. Hope they advertise it for people who have not seen the film. Anyone seen the film will know what I mean!

I am here to fight, and possibly die on this hill with you. It's the best of the 3.

Pegg playing what is most obviously a Frost character was genius, and allows Frost to do the "straight guy gone d*unk" schtick.

I love this film more than SotD or HF. There, I've said it.

He's self destructive. Like booze. His character's development is made explicit in the final scene, where the world has gone to shit but he finally gets his life together. He walks into the bar and asks for "five waters please."

Garry King is a brilliant character.
