Ok Fabbers.....

Musing again.

When the world returns to normal and we start to meet for fun.

If you are booking hotels, do you have a budget? What kind of hotels do you like?

Ladies would you put a price on your worth re the type of hotel that a guy you hardly knows wants to book? Do you go Dutch?

The type of hotel depends on our location, an air bnb with a jacuzzi is top of my list and we would split the cost.

Im not fussy though and will happily stay in a travelodge, all that I ask is that it is clean

I don't really have a budget as such. Well, no, I do, I wouldn't be spending a grand on a hotel room any time soon. One of the perks of my job means I've become quite fussy about hotels which is awful but generally, as long as the room isn't pokey, is clean, has a nice shower/bath, decent wifi, nice scenery or in a lovely area to go for a wander for drinks/food I'm fine with it. Not asking for much at all there.

If I really want to stay in a particular hotel then I would always offer to pay for the room because I know I like particular things.

We love hotel meets. But I much prefer country estate hotels, we like to make a night of it with food, swimming, drinks in the bar, breakfast in bed ect...We stay for the relaxing pleasure, with a view to hopefully getting a meet, so we book the hotels we know & like then invite others. We have 2 favourites that are only half an hour away from us, we usually pay around £130. We stayed in one last night, first time since lockdown, it felt so good to be back relaxing & enjoying one of our favourite places

I go for the nearest and cheapest. I’m only there for 4 hours max. I never sleep over.

And my value as a person is not based on the cost of a hotel room.

So for example would a cheap crappy £29 room be ok for you?

Depends why it was crappy? Filthy dirty then no. Cleanliness of room and bedlinen and toilet facilities HUGELY important. Decor and/or tea making facilities? Not so much.

Days Inn or Travelodge are my go to. If i use a Hotel.

I use Marriott, Ibis, Travelodge, Premier Inn, and Village chains, as well as a couple of others. Rooms usually cost £50-£60, some of my friends 'take turns' booking/paying, others like to go Dutch on the day/night.

We tend to book apartments or cottages much more private and you have lounge, dining room balcony or garden etc. No budget as such , for hotels we have Marriot and Radisson rewards so try to use them if possible. Have done the odd Days Inn too, cheap and dirty and don’t even stay the night !!

No I don't think so. You can get some brilliant deals at Premier Inn/Travelodge hotels around that price and to be honest, I think if you're with the right person and you're meeting for sex and sex alone, there's nothing wrong with them. I've stayed in hotels where the rooms are 400+ a night, stank of smoke, tiny little cupboard with uncomfortable beds but the name lends itself to the cost. Give me a huge comfy bed and decent quality across the board at somewhere like Premier Inn if I'm meeting for a fuck rather than paying for the name.

As I meet when I'm away from home (contracting during the week) then I'm usually staying in an Air BnB or Self catered apartment.

I prefer to have to the extra room and "niceness".

Here, there and everywhere!

When I'm traveling the room is just a base and a bed for the night so I'm fine with premier inns and even Travelodge but for playing it can be better to have something a little nicer.

I have stayed in some beautiful hotels and if I was looking for a break I would be looking one with a decent restaurant etc but for a night fucking I’m ok with a travelodge.

It needs to be clean. It needs to have a comfy bed and a good shower. I’ve stayed in much nicer travelodges than I have some more so called premium expensive hotels.

You can't beat the chain hotels for consistency, they are supposed to the same so you know what you are getting. They are good value for the purpose. If you get a bad one just don't use that hotel again.

I've stayed in some stunning hotels for nights away on special occasions and they are special and make for excellent fun and games and great photo sessions. Not sure they would be worth the cost for a regular meet.

Experience can only tell you if a nice hotel and the cost isn't all what its made out, I've stayed in expensive ones that have been quiet dirty and not well maintained, and budget rooms that have been spotless. Everyone is different and has their own expectations.

I used to use dayuse so cheap and cheerful enough but its quite nice if you pick a country club type hotel overlooking a golf course or lake or a big old haunted house. Not that I get to see much of it beyond the room so ultimately it doesnt matter

I would never expect a man to pay the whole cost of the hotel. We are not living in the 1950s.

For a weekend away or a meet, as long as it's clean and tidy that's all that matters.

I do like a posh hotel for a treat though.

Hubby treated me to The Titanic in Liverpool for my birthday and it was wonderful. The room was big enough to be a suite, and a really comfortable bed.

How would you go about it though if they really, really didnt want you to pay. If it offended them if you did, that they dont expect sex off you if you dont anyway, they are already there in the hotel with or without you and if you put money out for them they wont take it, if you sneak it in a pocket they will sneak it back out again? Just curious. None of that has happened with me, and the not paying has only ever been with good friends but would you have a bit of a standoff before or after about it, I wonder how it would work. And even if you agreed beforehand to pay and never meet unless you pay half they still wont let you. I can be gracious in defeat over some things in life.

from Home Counties to Middle Earth

I usually book 4-5* hotels and always with a room upgrade and a King-size bed.

It's never just sex, it's the whole experience, the tone is set with a good venue. I like space, comfort and ambience.

If I'm going to a group social, I'll book a hotel with a spa, so I can enjoy a relaxing sauna before I leave.

It very much depends on where we're going and what we're doing - sometimes a city centre hotel, sometimes an Airbnb cottage in the country, sometimes a nice 4* seafront hotel. I like to split the cost of the entire night/weekend, it's only fair.

Depends who I'm meeting. Recently discovered apartments are not much different in price to hotels and give you plenty of space to explore and flexibility. It's lovely to have a beautiful room, but sometimes it also fine to have anonymity of a shitty premier inn if you're just desperate to rip each others clothes off and the scenery isn't important, and also not worry about the stride of pride on the way to breakfast in the morning.....

Central

I'll stay from luxury 5 star down to higher budget end hotels. If I'm sleeping over, then I prefer quiet and comfortable, with the location influencing which ones work best.

My last expectation is for a free upgrade, if it's a chain that I'm a frequent guest with, possibly free breakfast too. It loxks me in a little but I've spent weeks in presidential suites in great hotels, as upgrades, including having a butler.

If I'm making a night of it with a regular partner and wanting a nice break away in a gorgeous hotel, I'm happy to pay half. Although it's nice to treat or be treated.

I wouldn't meet anyone off here who couldn't accommodate and even then, only after a social. If they're staying in the area anyway, I'd meet for a social and maybe head back to their hotel if I wanted to take things further. Having to pay out for hotels is something that would put me off meeting someone initially

That’s an interesting point (and a slight digression from the OP sorry), but in January I was in Liverpool for a weekend conference, and the previous two years in Birmingham. Each time I listed up ‘Hotel meet’ in the ‘Meets’ section, and received plenty of offers from bi/gay guys, but nothing from females or couples. Would it have been better if I’d listed up a ‘Social meet’ instead?

Absolutely ALL of my single female friends insist on a social prior to anything else. Or meet in clubs.

I like to meet for a social and see what happens. Never would I agree to meet anyone off Fab in a hotel room from the off. I may not fancy them. They may not fancy me. Far too risky.

I get a fair few messages offering to book the most beautiful hotels for meets. Ultimately I'd be happy in a Travel Lodge with someone I'd got to know a little and felt safe with. The mention of a hotel meet from the off just comes with too much pressure and expectation for me x

Totally depends really but if it’s part of a vanilla weekend you want something semi decent, premier inn nice comfy bed cheap rates always a winner if it’s just a quick stop over to get your head down it doesn’t really matter, but if it’s going to be one hell of a experience might as well splash out and go for a nice one x

Posh hotels don’t impress me, a decent Travelodge is good enough. As they often have an en-suite bathroom and decent mirrors for changing, not guaranteed in other hotels, even the high class establishments.

I prefer 50/50 or even getting my own room to change then I’ll visit their room, but then have a place to go back to afterwards.

Under the Duvet

"A price on your worth" strikes me as a very odd phrase in the context of booking a hotel room for a consensual meet.

My self worth isn't tied in to what someone is willing to spend on me, happily.

When it comes to hotel rooms the price of the room isn't some kind of transactional dealbreaker.

I go for decent day use hotels and I generally go 50/50.

I very very rarely do overnighters on FAB.
