Hi Fabbers,

So I haven't ever had people round who I hadn't previously met at a club but am hoping to in the future now I have my own place.

What are other people's experiences? Both from single guys and those visiting them? Any particular do's n don'ts?

To be honest i feel more comfortable in a hotel. I will always pay half the cost. I feel a bit uneasy in someones home.

So basically just like hosting a party but with someone you don't know? Do you tend to chat on phone to them both first?

We would never have some random come round.

We only play when we know someone

From here I've not met at home, but from dating sites I have. I'm comfortable with either, I need to know someone very well before meeting them anyways

I have a fab friend who I meet at his place. We met for an evening in a bar first. I feel very comfortable at his place. I often arrive to find him cooking us some dinner with music playing. I usually end up stood in the kitchen doorway chatting to him as he cooks. I'm very spoilt .

I'd rather go to a hotel. It's like mutual ground. Different if I know the lady a bit more though

Only once and then I’d known them for some time and was convinced they weren’t weirdos.

Clean sheets, bottled water or other refreshments available, obviously condoms and lube (if required).

The other thing I’d definitely recommend is, no matter how much you trust the other person, keep your credit cards hidden, money or valuables stored away and someone to call afterwards so they know everything went well.

I went to meet a girl in my car once for a social and she took a picture of my reg plate before she got in the car then sent it to her friend. I actually thought, good on her for being sensible!

We went for a drive and ended up pumping in the car! Was a good night.

"And for the love of god, make sure there are no skid marks in the toilet pan."

So I will clean the sheets beforehand as well as after, get a range of salty, roasted and plain snacks, plenty of booze and also non alcoholic, Coom them dinner, hide my valuables, buy a baseball bat and phone a friend.

Hotel tips anyone?

You don't have to cook them dinner, like I said I'm just spoilt .

I have had no problems when I accommodate. Apart from what other people have mentioned, clean sheets, house clean, drinks and cooking food etc. Make sure you make the lady feels comfortable and relaxed. For a lady to visit your home and she doesn't really know you is a big step.

If the lady sleeps over, make sure you have breakfast ready to cook, sex can make you hungry.

All great advice but one thing, if I clean my house so its all sparkling to 'parental visit standard' won't they assume I am secretly married?

Only if you have women's belongings everywhere . It's easy to tell when it's just a guy that lives somewhere.

Hahahahahaha not really! Might assume you have a little OCD or a cleaning obsession but I do like visiting a mans home that is proper clean, not just "attempted effort". But if you are hiding the wife, just make sure her toothbrush and obvious toiletries are hidden many make that mistake!

This is exactly what I do.

The only thing I’d add is that to avoid awkwardness, I quite often suggest we meet for coffee or a drink first somewhere close to the house. That way it gives both parties an opportunity to call it off if they’re not feeling the chemistry in person.

I find it takes the pressure off on both sides and just sets things up really nicely.

Have a social before hand if the chemistry is right and both feel comfortable with each other happy to invite. Not overly keen inviting somebody who I've never before home...
