Don’t take offence, it’s a lighthearted comparison.

Ok, so at a party where there are several couples and a couple of singles, is it a case that the singles are like blood-subs...? Come on when needed, then back on the bench afterwards?

Are scrums reset endlessly?

Is there cheering when someone scores?

At half-time, does everyone leave the pitch and get a pep-talk?

What constitutes a penalty? Do you get sent off for stamping or gouging?

Does everyone head for the showers afterwards?

How many fixtures are there in a season?

Is there an international version, like the World Cup?

Asking for a friend, lol...
