Definitely agree with you, had my own difficult periods in the past, and no doubt will again as life has its ups and downs.

It’s free to be kind too, and a lot of the time it’s really easy to be so!

I have a mental health issue but I don’t suffer from it, I have 2 amazing real life friends that I’ve learnt to open up to so it’s a lot less of a burden in my own head, I find embracing my own problems means i can usually spot it in someone else and help them if they want me too. I don’t understand why it still has such a stigma when talking about it shows that so many more people struggle than you ever realised.

It’s good to talk is definitely a good statement

As much as I’ve come across some genuinely lovely people, I really need to wean myself off the forums as I find they actually make me feel shitty. Either I’m left feeling completely inferior as a human, or feel targeted by people trying to belittle my posts; which funnily enough, are often impacted by the current state of my mental health.

It seems impossible to win. I’ve been on Fab for a few years and only ventured into the forums recently for a bit of escape. Often it causes me negativity and guilt that spills into real life. Not good.

I openly admit to suffering with depression so I have my ups and downs regularly.

Tbh I don't think this site helps too much with it as I get views and messages read but no replies. Knocks your confidence and makes you feel shitty at the same time.
