Which bands do u think people should listen to ???

I’m going to recommend the group who in my mind are the biggest cult band in the world - this band should be playing stadiums but they just love to play little clubs

Check out a band from Houston Texas called Kings X - they have been going for 40 years and they are bloody incredible

A band from the 90s called The Blessing. Their first album (of two) Prince of the Deep Water is one of my all-time favourites, but hardly anybody has ever heard of them. Many that have love them, as can be seen from Amazon reviews.

Wayward Sons is a great new band. The lead singer used to front Little Angels, from the 90's UK rock scene.

Days Of The New self titled debut album. New Age Grunge from the 90's.

The band Brad, debut album Shame is a cracker. It's a side project from the one of the guitarists from Pearl Jam (Stone Gossard).

Temple Of The Dog. Collaboration between Soundgarden and Pearl Jam in memory of a good friend called L'Andrew from the band Mother Love Bone. Temple's one and only self titled album has some of THE best songs ever written. Beautifully crafted songs of infinite sadness... One for all to enjoy!

One other band - sadly no more but one of Scotland’s finest - if you want music so emotional and so fucking raw you will cry in buckets and feel brilliant for it - listen to The Blue Nile

Australian Pink Floyd are absolutely outstanding. They sound just like the real thing. Took my Dad to see them a few times as he is a huge Pink Floyd fan.

Big Mac’s wholly soul band are amazing too. Seen them a few times

Fantastic band I got to see them live in Hyde park years ago when they were promoting the release of an album unfortunately they were only the support band but for me outshined the headlines (Bonjovi)

I have been going through a separation /divorce for the last three months. I have been listening to loads of the 'Red Hot Chilli Peppers'.

Just the right amount of aggression....mixed with funk and unbelievable guitar riffs for me.... to take me away to that special place!!!!

1.Blood Sugar sex Magic (under the Bridge....their most famous hit)

2. Californication (Guitar crazy)

3. By the Way (Perfect ...my favourite & most hits)

4. Stadium Arcadium.( Least favourite)

I bought 'The distance to here' by Live back in 1999/2000 partly because of the Psychedelic artwork on the album cover! I have a listen over the weekend.....I haven't played it in years.

I bought 'The distance to here' by Live back in 1999/2000 partly because of the Psychedelic artwork on the album cover! I have a listen over the weekend.....I haven't played it in years.

It's my favourite album by them and totally recommend it, listening to Live got me through some bad times and when I got married I walked down the isle to the Dolphins Cry

The Redskins - edgy brass driven punk with a social conscience from the late 80s

The Simmertones - three albums of bright and breezy ska from Devon/Somerset

Prefab Sprout - ignore "hot dog, jumping frog" and listen to Swoon or Steve McQueen both brilliant albums

Abdoujaparov - Les Carter of Carter USM fame's band - clever humourous lyrics, mixed with guitar based melodies

Kings x are my mates favourite band, he also likes, Alice in chains, soundgarden etc and more recently and fairly unknown are bands like boss keloid, monolith cult, valafar, Ironrat

Rumors of Fleetwood Mac. These guys are so good the're almost impossible to tell from the real thing. Even endorsed by Mick Fleetwood. There's a bunch of vids on youtube from a 2018 gateshead concert. Saw them there the next year & they didn't disappoint. Had tickets for this year till everything went to hell but they'll be back next year.

I saw them about six years ago at the Half Moon, Putney. The first set was tracks from Prince Of The Deep Water, the other album and assorted CD single tracks from the time in full, the second was a set of their favourite soul, blues and reggae covers. And thankfully, Bill Topley had finally shed the ridiculous receding mullet (or nature had shed it for him) Sadly, I haven't seen them again since.

I got into both of them in the mid 80s when I got given a compilation album called 'Rock The Nation' for my birthday. Both great bands. Are the Rainmakers still with us? I have their first three albums on vinyl and they're superb. Other similar bands I loved later that decade were Timbuk 3 and The Pursuit Of Happiness.

Suede and Pulp remind me of the days when I used to stride round London in size 38 trousers, eyeliner, backcombed hair, silver boots and a fake fur coat, speeding off my brain and being very 'decadent' If truth be known, I as probably a bit of a prat, but I'd give anything for those days- and that waistline- to return...

I'd recommend a band from The Blinders who are very exciting at the moment. Second album is fantastic.

Also recommend Metric, Shame, The National, Soulsavers (marvellous), Timber Timbre, Agnes Obel, The Handsome Family to name a few.

Been listening to a belgium band I saw a few years ago, Triggerfinger. Brilliant live, cross between reef, muse, feeder and zz top with filthy guitar.

They are also super fun and snazzy dressers with amazing cowboy boots!

Deep Swell. They only ever did one album, about ten years ago I think, but it's an absolute banger. Side project of Clutch guitarist Tim Sult, they have a heavy funky bluesy folky vibe with an alternative edge, and a powerful as fuck female vocalist.
