What’s it about?"Strong yet troubled women, spot of murder, some suspense. Beautifully written erotic scenes. Written in the late 80s so nothing modern about it but it's pretty timeless. I love her writing! | |||

"Depends what you like but anything by Peter James would get my vote - he's done a few standalones which are good and his Roy Grace crime series is excellent All time favourite book is Birdsong by Sebastian Faulkes which is a love story set against the blood and guts of the trenches in WW1 and in a similar vein a very good recommendation from one of these threads My Dear I Wanted To Tell You by Louisa Young which I shall always be indebted to Goodnite Girl for recommending as it was a moving and powerful read that draws on actual events as it's basis" Sounds like I’ll have to read that one. "The Night Circus - Erin Morgenstern Norwegian Wood - Haruki Marukami The Historian - Elizabeth Kostova Shantaram - Gregory David Roberts The Shadow of the Wind - Carlos Ruiz Zafon The Kiss Quotient - Helen Hoang Those are in the first pile of books I saw and I love them so I'd recommend any of those - Morgenstern, Murakami and Zafon all have that fantastical romantic magical elements to their works. Hoang's is an interesting insight into neurodiversity as well as being a bit smutty and very funny. "The name of the wind. King killer chronicles, by Patrick rothfuss. Best fantasy book I've read, just wish the 3rd book would come out already. " Reading The Name of the Wind at the moment. Sadly taking forever as can only dip in and out thanks to lockdown and the kids, haha. Amazing book. Can’t believe it was his first novel. Recommended to me. Well, I was given a reading list, haha, hence now on Patrick Rothfuss, and they definitely have excellent reading taste. Before being introduced to writers like Patrick, I only read the classics really, some feminist fiction, as studied them, and loved them, so this has been great for me. Love literature! Viv x | |||

"Anything by Chuck Palahniuk is great. He wrote fight club and most of the books are better than the film. " Wanted to get into Palahniuk, so went to the librarian and asked her what titles they had. She said you can have c.h.o.k.e or blowjob lol poor girls face. Great writer, c.h.o.k.e was excellent. Think I'll get blowjob on kindle. Would recommend dice man, great book and very funny. | |||
