FabSwingers.com forum: Not So Fabulous!

There is a lot of whinging in the profiles and in the forums mainly from women and/or couples complaining about the amount, type and content of messages they receive (from single guys usually). Some people then blame the user about the tone of their profiles - or stated preferences.

However, what if it is NOT the fault of the user or the single guys, but due to the POOR or DATED design of the FabSwingers website itself. For example, the only way to stop the avalanche of single-guy “wanna fuck” messaging is to block ALL single guys, which actually might be against your sexual preferences.

What would YOU change to make Fab a Better Experience ( and yes I know there is “feedback" forum ) but it is with some irony that no one bothers to respond/review new posts there!

Multiple Hotlist

Email Grouped by Hotlist

Default SPAM Group

1) Multiple Hotlists

with "user-definable" group names like

* Post-Lockdown-Shag-List

* Hot-Prospect-MAYBE-Shag

* Love-Photos-Wont-Shag

* Dumped-Me-Still-Stalking

* DSL-Are-My-Weakness

* etc.

2) Email Grouped by HotList

The ability to have emails automatically grouped / sorted based on those hotlists

3) Default SPAM Group

A default group or “SPAM” folder for all messages received by people not in any of my HOTLISTS.

That way ALL single-guys (not in my hotlists) emails would just find themselves automatically spammed into the “BIN" group.

Problem solved.

Or how about stopping men sending a dick pic with the first message and making the first message have over 100 differing words so they can't just put 'wanna fuck' followed by fullstops or random letters just to make the wording amount up.

In short, its up to those guys (sometimes couples, tv/ts or women too so I'm being inclusive) to come up with something worthwhile and that sparks the recipient's mind.

I do but then I look like I'm interested when I check folks profiles to check the notes. I also know I could go ninja mode but that's no fun lol

We're tempted to create a post in the forums for our rules, then place a link to them in the profile. We get our profile can look a little word heavy, but it's important to us we get the right messages. We want someone who will make as much effort for us as they expect from us. X

Conversely, I think a filter that prevents forum interaction with someone you have blocked from messaging would be good.

It's the same for dogging in my experience. Guys turning up who had made no effort at all and expecting people to fuck them. I gave up on doggingin the end as I couldn't stand the hanging about and some of the people turning up were really low rent.

But NOT what the OP asked for ...

I don’t want to change the user per se ( since I empathise with single guy goals but not their crude technique ) ...

Any ideas to change or improve the technology or website to better manage ANY user and improve your experience ... Please. Thx.

I’d make single ladies profile automatically block single guys from messaging for at least a month. I’ve seen what happens when single ladies join this place, it’s like flies around shit even when they don’t have pics, and if they’re decent looking it’s a bloody joke! A friend of mine was bombarded and left within 12 hours because of it.

Auto set the message filters and allow them to either contact those they like or chose to remove it. Or at the very least make it abundantly obvious they can update their message filters easily

I have always been polite and courteous but women on here get their heads in the clouds from all the messages they receive and block everyone who’s not air head gym bod lol. I’d like a section for the ‘not so nice looking, dad bod lovers’ ! ie most normal people !

That would be a brilliant idea!!!

I hate not replying to people even though I know Fab rules say that we dont have to feel obliged to, and that facility would mean we wouldn't have to, ever. Plus if that intro was never accepted, they wouldn't be able to send it again.
