Hi Fabbers.

I am actually going to my local car boot sale again today.

I am hoping to find a bargain or several!

This week I am on the look out for a large hammer & a hurricane lamp vase!

If you were going to a boot sale, what things would you be hoping to find?

If I was heading to a bootie today I’d be looking for a record player, I was given an actual record for my birthday this year to start a collection and it’s a shame it’s going unplayed so far.

That is true. I guess I am very fortunate to have a good active car boot site only 10 mins drive away!

You are meant to be buying stuff from the stall in FRONT of the car. Not the CAR itself lol.

"A yummy mummy "

There will be a few of those there no doubt, but they usually come as a set, complete with a Yummy Daddy and Yummy kiddies! Would be a shame to break up a set!

Don't do it it's an addiction that'll take over your life and leave you poorer but happy

I've got thousands of them all one genre but tbf they would be worth way more than what I've paid over the decades.

Books! And sometimes you find bargain clothes as well. The last one I went to I got a beautiful Hobbs shirt dress, still with label attached for £3.

Do you have to have a car with the boot in the front like the old vw beetles ?

I always keep an eye out for records when I go - my best find was a Blondie picture disc that I bought for £4 and later sold for £230. Other than that I just look for quirky ornaments and jewellery, or anything for my costume making box.
