"Been a bit of a shit day today. I made the mistake of telling a friend's ex that I like her and I got the whole I just see as mates spiel. They've been broken up a couple of months now and I just didn't want to spend the rest of my life in regret, wondering what might have been. And I say friend, but he was always a bit of a dick to me, made me feel like shit sometimes and I haven't even spoken to him for over a month now. I still feel guilty though. I don't know what I was expecting to happen really. I hoped she felt the same way, but fully expected this outcome instead. It doesn't feel awkward between us, but I feel a bit silly, bit upset with myself. I've always liked her, always had a soft spot for her and I just feel a bit shit. Probably for the best though. Ahh it sucks, but always best to know where you stand rather than be strung along.. The right one will be there somewhere.. Hugs x" Thanks.
