heading to see the stone roses in heaton park on saturday 30th june. in need of somewhere to stay, any suggestions. (there are 4 of us)

there is a premier inn facing heaton park, but i dare say it will be booked up already !

for alternatives, try the village hotel in bury

only cost a few quid in a taxi, 2 junctions down the motorway - less than 10 mins drive

failing that, premier inn or travelodge chadderton (oldham)

or village hotels in ashton-under-lyne or prestwich

or norton grange hotel, castleton (rochdale)

or bower hotel, chadderton

generally speaking, the more central you stay, the more you will pay in hotel costs, so if you want to 'keep it cheap' stay on the outskirts

just get a hotel in the center of manchester then get a taxi dwn to heaton park

I'm going on the Friday and I just about Managed to get a Hotel In Salford - so Expensive though and I booked this over a month ago - hope you manage to find somewhere!

Just had a mooch about..not a lot going in the way of hotels - so maybe check out "couchsurfing" - some lovely person might help you out with some sofa space...or - buy a tent! x
