"I went to the hairdressers last weekend for the first time in 4 months. And strangely I now think it looked better before! Disappointing... " Oh no! I read an article about a month ago suggesting that they're going to try to encourage the bob back because it's more hygienic at the moment than a blow dry.

I just feel very blonde all of a sudden, whereas the “blended root” look was probably more natural. I’m not sure my hairdresser would be impressed if I went back and asked her to reinstate my Covid hair, though

"Not been to the hairdressers yet, I'm so excited to see how long it is. Biotin tablets, no heat products and lots of hair masques have really helped it grow and get so healthy. I thought I'd try the Dove Visible Gradual Self Tan in Dark and it left me looking orange and streaky so I might try something for lighter skin tones. " My teen daughter used that St Moritz tan, she went for the darkest shade (she has my skin tone!) She woke up orange and patchy, bless her, it wasn’t a great look. I may try the lighter one myself ...

"My hairdresser has decided to retire due to her bad health so I'm on the hunt for a new one. It's not easy! My hair has got pretty long and is in need of a cut, although I'm not bad at doing the fringe. I've ordered some of The Ordinary products which I'm very excited about. The eye cream, a moisturiser and a serum for my daughter. That's because of one of your threads OP and the amazing re_iews those products have. So....Thanks " No worries! I finally opened my Revolution salicylic acid. It's scented. Wtf No great loss and I'll see how I get on with it

(I'm using up my non CG stuff at the moment) "Loved by Curls" and "Curly Girl Approved" have some products, and many of them are own brand.

"Haven't been to hairdressers for about 2 years now, but I like my hair long. I did get a bit of a shock in TK Maxx yesterday when I noticed a microneedles pinwheel being sold as a beauty product. Apparently, it is good for so many things, like reducing wrinkles and stretch marks, reducing cellulitis etc. I guess I need to get my partner to use the pinwheel on my butt and thighs more . " I'll need to get my hair layered or it'll be a godawful mess. I will at some stage. I've read stuff on risks of microneedling. I'm wary.

Essence also gets a lot of love for a budget option " I recently bought pomade for the first time(used to use powder or pencil). I have ABH in shade Ebony and I love it. It's not exactly smudge proof so I need to be careful not to accidentally rub my brows, but it's really easy to work with and make precise lines

"I find it long lasting and appreciate the range of colours. Given my fairly light skin and pale eyes, black is often quite harsh on me so I'll reach for a lighter brown, aubergine, or navy. Or other colours for more decorative purposes (their gold is less of a solid line but is quite pretty as a minimal lower lash accent, for example)" I also have pale skin, but because I have black hair I tend to wear black eyeliner most of the time. I have some glittery ones from Poundland which I surprisingly like too. And if I feel like experimenting with colours I use Jeffree Star velour liquid lipsticks, it's just a pain to remove them without making my eyes really sensitive. I got a recommendation for The Body Shop camomile cleansing balm. Apparently it's really good for removing eye make-up, I will be trying it first time tonight.

"Finding shades of anything is going to be such a pain in the arse. i know because they are completely different than whats shown between laptop and phone etc. Im not going to even bother trying for new foundations because i cant shade match" Sometimes on Reddit you can get people to swatch what they've got so you can compare. I am however on the hunt for a decent nail polish brand that doesn't chip after day one of use!! " OPI are a great brand and also zoya. Good base and top coat and youre good to go
