Something I was just asked and I know there are a lot of geeky fabbers on this site so I thought it would be an interesting question.

Mine is Captain America. I love how he is written in the comic books, it comes out a bit in the films but his unwavering idealism is commendable and makes for a well thought out character. Plus as much as I like the high powered ones there’s something special about a character who is just enhanced a bit across the board and still stands strong upon them all.

This doesn’t have to be specifically comic book superheroes. There are plenty in film, TV, Cartoons etc. So let’s here yours

Nope not anymore.

When I was a kid I used to like Spiderman.

Teenager used to read 2000AD and liked Rogue Trooper, Strontium Dog, ABC Warriors (although they are more anti-heroes).

Had a brief comics faze in my twenties but preferred the non-superhero/action comics.

Now nope - not even keen on the MCU or DC Universe.

Ahh but you can easily just turn this around as the multiverse and a different version of earth. I take all the films as they are but they don’t touch on the comics for story. Rogue is a classic example of an absolute badass. Caught a lot better in the 90’s animated show

Hands down it has to be Batman.

The best story lines and by far the best villains. The backdrop of a dark and grimy Gotham is the icing on the cake.

It was the animated show I loved her in, I can’t wait for the MCU to start blending all these universes together! Roll on Black widow in November (Fingers Crossed)

I’m very interested in how they portray the characters. There’s a few more to come in too that’ll be very interesting. Seeing how the MCU bring in Ms Marvel, Fantastic Four and the X-Men will be entertaining. Especially the FF given how bad the last film tanked

Comic bookwise I liked the original X-men and Thor.

MCU and DC Universe wise Marvel nailed it with the first Iron Man film, also like the Hulk (not the standalone films) and Rocket.

If i could look fractionally as good as the Black Widow I would be iso so happy.

I watch New Rockstars channel on YouTube and some of the ways they’ve theorised it’ll come together sounds absolutely brilliant even if most of it is speculation, it seems even the smallest details in past movies can be used to set up the next bunch. I find it very cool

I tend to leave aside fan theories purely because people seem to reach too highly. In doing so I do have my own views but for the most part I’m just letting them be. If I delve too deep I’d be in there all day haha

True it’s such a rabbit hole, although they do have characters in place for a young avengers so I could see that happening at some point which is cool

Depends on how you define Superhero, I am more antihero and not a fan (except Vampirella and Empowered) of the lead wearing tight fitting costumes. So I don't read MCU or DC.

Empowered is one of my favourites, she tries through adversity.

Are occult powers super powers? Not Dr Strange but John Constantine in the Hellblazer series and Injustice Year 3 (Batman and Mr Chimp in the backseat of a taxi, priceless).

Zak Overkill in Incognito. Antiheros are a theme.

Last but not least Tommy Monaghan aka The Hitman (not the game or film) bitten by aliens and as a result able to read minds. Works as a hitman in Gotham. Written by Garth Ennis inbetween Preacher and "The Boys" (and "The Crossed").

He tried to do the right thing but life makes it difficult. Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, and the SAS, make appearances. The Superman story, for pathos and humour is Ennis at his best.

Batman - Ever since watching the 60's series (re-runs lol) I have enjoyed the man that dresses as a Bat. As the years went by the image got better, the vehicles stayed amazing and the villains awesome (apart from Bane on the big screen... That's never been done right yet lol)
