Is it just me or are forums getting boring? I've stopped using this as often as I did due to the fact that every single day it's always the same thing. Whenever I browse the forums I always get a deja vu feeling, same threads, same subjects.. Bah! Am I the only one who feels that way?

You just have to keep trying. It all depends how many are using the forums, who is using them at any one time. Try threads at different times of the day and see if there's a 'best' time. Experiment.

Tell me about it, my incredibly well thought out quite brilliant original threads barely make double figures, whereas the ones asking what your favourite colour Is, or What day of the week do you do the big shop fill up in no time. But I stick to my principles and refuse to sell out and start these threads, just to reach 175.

You have a point. It should be the subject thats the interest not you getting noticed.

Some people seem to make a point of not responding to certain posters, but in the main I think its more about what time of day you post? I find dramatic difference in the crowd and content at different times of the day.

I think the games enhance the experience. They seem to bring people together and it’s lighthearted and a laugh. I also feel that newbies and lurkers would feel more inclined to comment if things were lighter in here

So what's your point? Relationships take time and effort, don't they....? I think on the whole newbie posters are welcomed and get an easy ride in here imo, as per THIS thread. I'd say I'm not new but not old, not popular, yet independent. If I'd posted this thread for example I'd get my arse roasted or ignored and I'd take that on the chin....

Fair point, unfortunately, I got tired of trying, only forumites get attention around here, whenever someone tries something different, it goes down the drain like the rest.

Tell me about it, my incredibly well thought out quite brilliant original threads barely make double figures, whereas the ones asking what your favourite colour Is, or What day of the week do you do the big shop fill up in no time. But I stick to my principles and refuse to sell out and start these threads, just to reach 175."

Do people actually aim for 175?? Is that a thing? Omg nooooo I'm so competitive, now that I know this I'm going to have to keep count on the stupid threads I start

To be honest the forums have always been ebb and flow, peaks and troughs, people coming and going etc.

Currently it's mostly in a bit of a trough with either trite or contentious threads and very little substance, people seeking to take offence just because someone holds a different opinion or has the temerity to disagree, but there's still the odd ray of light to make it worth coming back - it'll find a peak again I'm sure.

There have been a lot of regulars go quiet or disappear, and a lot of new regulars appearing which always shifts the dynamic a little when it happens.

I've found myself spending less and less time here lately because there's not been a great deal to hold my attention but again I'm sure that will change with time.

You were saying the same thing the other day. Actions speak louder than words. My man Gemini is on daily happily posting and contributing. The Forums are exactly the same as they always are. Yes people come and go. Friendships, teams, groups shift and new people mix things up to keep it exciting for the rest of us independents. Otherwise it would be like groundhog day and nobody needs that online when we had that for months offline

This one is cool though fam because he is just disgruntled his team are having a rubbish season now because Spurs coupled up with Portugese manager Jose Mourinho. That had disaster written all over it because how can you have a winning manager join a team that don't win anything of substance.

Things are only going to get worse... because the Red Devils are not going to take it easy this time! Spurs are dropping points all over the place, but I will have a word with my contacts over there and see what I can do to give them a respectful ending all the way to the magic number...

To be honest the forums have always been ebb and flow, peaks and troughs, people coming and going etc.

Currently it's mostly in a bit of a trough with either trite or contentious threads and very little substance, people seeking to take offence just because someone holds a different opinion or has the temerity to disagree, but there's still the odd ray of light to make it worth coming back - it'll find a peak again I'm sure.

There have been a lot of regulars go quiet or disappear, and a lot of new regulars appearing which always shifts the dynamic a little when it happens.

I've found myself spending less and less time here lately because there's not been a great deal to hold my attention but again I'm sure that will change with time.

You were saying the same thing the other day. Actions speak louder than words. My man Gemini is on daily happily posting and contributing. The Forums are exactly the same as they always are. Yes people come and go. Friendships, teams, groups shift and new people mix things up to keep it exciting for the rest of us independents. Otherwise it would be like groundhog day and nobody needs that online when we had that for months offline

This one is cool though fam because he is just disgruntled his team are having a rubbish season now because Spurs coupled up with Portugese manager Jose Mourinho. That had disaster written all over it because how can you have a winning manager join a team that don't win anything of substance.

Things are only going to get worse... because the Red Devils are not going to take it easy this time! Spurs are dropping points all over the place, but I will have a word with my contacts over there and see what I can do to give them a respectful ending all the way to the magic number...
