Does anyone have experience of these, I feel like since lockdown a healthy appetite has turned in to something o wake up fit everyday it’s now effecting my work and day to day habits.

I appreciate some of you will scoff at this on a sex site but I’m hoping there are a few who are experiencing something similar.

Have you been to your GP?

Are you expecting a clinic to treat you for free without a GP referral ?

Best route is GP for a profession referral as the fab forums are good but professional is always better.

I suffered years ago and even though I have an addictive personality something happened and I just stopped which at the time was a massive relief.

Best of luck op.

In all likelihood the 'sex addiction' is a result of something else and not simply that you're suddenly a sex addict.

Go and speak to your GP and don't attempt self-diagnosis, that's the safest bet OP.

Hey OP,

Thanks for posting!

My advice would be to try the counselling directory (not sure if I can post links here). Essentially counsellors advertise their services there. Sessions usually cost around £70 per hour. There are some group sessions which tend to be less expensive. Do speak with your GP but be prepared counselling services on the NHS come with long waits. My experience with my local GP was they really hadn’t had much experience dealing sex addiction and didn’t know much about it. However, they can usually point you in the direction of people who can help in your area. I think the charity ‘Relate’ are good if money’s an issue...

Hope this helps and good luck with it

Did you manage to find a private clinic?

So my GP referred me to a private psychiatrist who did the initial assessment and diagnosis (I didn’t want to wait). As another person said, in my case, the issues with sex were a consequence of other mental health / life issues. From there I found an appropriate counsellor. I tried a couple of therapist before I settled on one. Feel free to DM if you wana chat in more detail.
