Should I stay or should I go?

I guess that part of this could be a shameless bit of attention seeking but so what, I figure I can do that.

After about 4 years on here I've grown used to the regular moans about no meets, fake profiles and all that stuff. I kind of take it for granted that any site has that. But I started thinking that maybe this just really isn't for me - 4 years and no meets. About 30 messages sent per week with an average of 10 being opened, 8 or 9 being deleted and if I'm lucky perhaps a "sorry not interested" reply. Luckily I have made "friends" with some people and had conversations and web chats. But that's about it. The forums are good but I got bored of seeming to be the one who couldn't quite get into the conversation and tended to result in the thread ending.

Anyway, I guess it probably took me longer than many to come to the conclusion that maybe I'm not in the right place on here.

So good luck everyone and enjoy yourselves and each other - but play safe!

It depends what you’re looking for. If you want meets, and you haven’t had any in 4 years, then maybe it’s time to try a different option?

Whether that be another site, a change of tact, or maybe just taking a break - that’s up to you.

Sometimes when you stop trying, things just seem to happen naturally

All about what you are looking for or expect. I'm here for the forums mainly and just post as things pop into my head - if it garners attention then great, if not so what? I find it fun and funny. If more comes from it then we'll see. If not I'm still enjoying myself.

If it's not fun or you're not getting out of it what you want then you've made the right desicion for you. Time to move onwards and upwards.

Good luck in your future endeavors

If you are a single guy looking for casual sex or a light relationship, is something like tinder not better?

If you want to meet couples, it's always going to be tricky... Also we might be in the minority here but in terms of discretion, we like being sent face pics but would be put off by a face pic as the main profile pic

London/Essex... ish... Romford to be exact

If you feel you are not enjoying it or not getting fulfilled then take a break. Maybe you'll feel you don't actually miss it on here. Maybe you'll find you utilise your time better when not on Fab. Perhaps you will engage in other activities instead. I've had long periods away from Fab and found I struggled to reignite my interest when I came back for a peek. You can only find out the answer by trying. If you do stay, perhaps you could attend a social when they are possible again. I have never been but understand that many people do and I am often suggested this course of action. If it isn't too daunting maybe you could attend a club?

I guess it depends on how you’d feel if you go and what you are wanting from it. If you’ve managed to stay this long without meets then what’s a bit longer, it keeps you socialising with others and you never know one day things might progress ... i think it looks to be harder for blokes on here. Maybe when the clubs re-open go to a club and meet people there and see where things go . Take care - Linz x

Glasgowish

Do you ever attend clubs or organised social events OP?. Both are great ways to meet people face to face and will get you some verifications as well as having an enjoyable time.
