However, I’ve since realised that with that new found confidence, I was kinda attractive to people in the real world too. Don't know but you could be right. They might see it as 'socially unacceptable' and not want to be seen with a BBW. I for one do not harbour such fantasies as it's more about the person, and I'm more attracted to faces rather than body type, for me. But some people only look at the surface.

As a younger man myself I would definitely agree with this. During my school days a lot of my friends would ridicule for me for my attraction towards larger ladies... I definitely did not let it deter me and never gave into peer pressure.

Most of the women I’ve dated outside of the fab world have been what you would class as “BBW”. I love everything about this body type but the personality of an individual holds just as much weight.

I have met "bigger" women and I have met "smaller" women and both were great meets and more importantly really nice people. I used to chat to a younger fella who was a proper dish and very muscular. The kind of guy you’d see on Love Island.

He asked me out on a date once and i refused because i was a bit insecure after splitting with an ex and feeling bleurgh. In my head i thought he would be more suited to a lithe petite blonde stunner (the type you see on Love Island). I told him this and he laughed. He then quickly reeled off his favourite porn actresses. I googled. They were all BBW’s.

He was right! I still never went on the date though.

I couldn't agree more to the points brought up here.

I have a couple of attributes I'm noticeably attracted to but they aren't a body type. I'd never judge someone on their body shape. If I find a face attractive I'm happy to chat and see if we click no matter their shape or size, personality wins.

I've actually had "and to make it worse you're short and fat" - observation 10/10 from a random who had never even messaged me before! I get one of these charmers at least once every couple of weeks.

Personally I am more picky than.. well.. I guess I should be, I generally can get a feel of the person just from messaging as I don't meet straight away and always do a social.. but I've got it wrong many times and each time it puts me back a few steps...

It's not only single guys though, couples and females are just as bad sadly.. so many females want to play with another female.. but only if she's athletic or slim..

I know, I'm ranting, I'll stop! Lol

I’ve found that too! I’m actually even more scared of meeting women than I am of men as I’m more paranoid about how another woman perceived my body.

Like you, I feel I’ve zero right to be so fussy about what guys I look for and o get several rude messages from guys saying I should be grateful etc etc. But, if I CAN get tall, handsome fuck boys to play with, then that’s exactly what I’m going for!!!

My ex wife was from a size 10 to a 20 through our marriage I can honestly say it never bothered me at all or any if my friends not that it would have mattered but I think she always looked healthier and happier when she was a little larger and sex always seemed amazing whatever

Being a larger man I've experienced it from women, it happens to both men and women.

there's nothing more painful and demeaning being shunned away,laughed at, bullied, made to feel ashamed,not wanted, not given a chance and ignored because you're slightly larger it feels like today's society has been taught that larger men don't count anymore that they're bottom of the list.

I've never been ashamed to be seen with a larger woman, I've shown affection to a larger woman I knew a few year ago in public by cuddling and kissing her while we were waiting for an uber driver the looks we got ... I just thought fuck them, I liked and loved this woman and I wanted to show that I do.

I don't think that men don't want to be seen with a fat bird. I think if they love you they don't feel shame.

I DO think that men will shag women of all sizes but that doesn't mean they want them as a life partner.

It's pretty unfortunate that people confuse sex , love and friendship;especially on a site like this.

True - but that’s not just guys. I’ve met a lot of guys in my 6+ years on fab - but wouldn’t ‘date’ the vast majority of them.

Most of us have a list of requirements for those we’ll meet - and a far longer/very different list for those we’d date/have a relationship with.

The vast majority of guys I’ve met have been lovely - but I wouldn’t look to date them! X

No - I think like everything there are exceptions.

Also weight gain after kids, or age etc.. needs to be accounted for.

Were they overweight when they started out and how old were they?

I think a lot of people are in relationships for the wrong reasons - usually because of money - I'm sure having a trophy partner is amongst them.

But I do believe there is someone for everyone fat or thin or somewhere in between

When I was an adolescent I wanted to be seen with the most popular and best looking people but after that I didn’t.

I understand peer pressure when you're younger it can be very difficult to resist.

I can imagine you haven’t had problems - you’re extremely pretty!

I think people often forget that, for many people, it’s the face we’re attracted to first - and the body type is often secondary. Tbh that’s why I find it so frustrating (but understandable) that most people on here don’t have public face pics.

Many of us have a minimum or maximum size when it comes to body type - but equally it’s a pretty broad range for a lot of us, I imagine!

I haven't read the whole thread but I 100% agree op.

Last week I was on the forums of another site. A more serious debating site than this,not a swingers or relationship site, and someone asked 'is dating a fat women equivalent to dating a short man?' 270 posts later and around 95% of posters said absolutely. The general consensus was that neither were attractive or desirable.

I would like to think I'm not that shallow, however in truth I probably am.

I've never dated much (through personal choice) but I've also never felt like I'd be rejected as girlfriend material based on size either. It's really sad many of you have given up looking for relationships for this reason

Oh my word, this thread makes me so sad. Yes I have experienced it, but not since my late teens/early 20s, when I had zero confidence and didn't know any better.

There is one guy I met last year where I felt like he was settling for me (one of the reasons we'll *never* be meeting again). I'm fat, I'm not particularly attractive, but I've no need to be with anyone who doesn't want to be with me, I'd rather stay home and give my rabbit a workout.

Otherwise when I've been on dating sites or dating in real life I've not had this issue.

I once dated a ballet dancer, one of the most beautiful men I've ever seen and someone who was surrounded by lovely, graceful women all day every day. We were out with his friends one night when a woman literally pushed me out of the way to get closer to him. He wasn't aggressive about it, but he moved so he could put his arm around me and explained we were there together, then steered me away from her and towards his friends. That's set my expectation of how I'll be treated when dating and I'll be single forever before I accept less.

With a fuck-buddy it's different, I've no real interest in dates or meeting friends, but no more would I introduce him to my friends. That's not what it's about. I'm not going to put up with someone who thinks I'm beneath him though, that's just horseshit.
